Just a quick note concerning the statement that the holders of the licences don't care about the modding scene:

Some years ago there was a big german modding community for Pro Evolution Soccer, the PESCorner.
The owners of the site got in trouble because they hosted and released a lot of patches and mods that used the german Bundesliga.
The site was shut down and if you try to visit it now, you automatically get redirected to the official website of the Bundesliga.

Well he´s was the founder and provider of Megaupload and git a lot of trouble ´cuz his website provides a lot of pirated music,films (some a long time before there was released in the cinemas),games,Software ect.
Well as in Germany a Streaming website was calmed down ´cause a similar case the music-industry, artist, Movie Companies ect and a few people (old "friends/partners") gave the FBI a tip and they catch him ´cause he´d make a lot of money with this.
Well in Germany he had also a few problems ´cause Hacking, Insider Trades.
This is just a short version of the Kim Schmitz case.
None can say if this can also happen with the modders but we all should be a bit carefully with the handling of gamemodding ´cause there some case who Football clubs, and companies had to bring an action against so.



Read the last part of my post above then should u know what´s can happen.
And so if u think football is just the matches then u´re on the false way, football is after Entertainment (Music,Software,Hollywood ect) and Wall-street one of the strongest markets for Companies right now.
The clubs makes not only money with Player trades, merchandising or so they get also a lot of money form there sponsors and there very interested in to protect there brands and get a piece of each cake who there thinking there can make money.
This is not a question of if u make money with this, it´s a question what they think and what can happen.

Yes, I understand a bit of how trademarks works.

But i still think that you shouldnt have problems while you don't generate traffic to your website to make money with advertisement.
The problem with Megaupload was that they were charging you to download faster, knowing that there was a lot of warez hosted in their servers.

If the guys of TPB are still free, you can quiet sleep

Sido always gave help when needed, at least with me, thank Sido, I have taken a long brake from modding as I just can't get the time, being doing it for years too. Work is busy and being married doesn't help as you know modding can take a while, just enjoying actually playing the game for a while when the wife is working, Lay off the dude, its not his job and Sido cannot fulfil the daily demands of "make me this stadium", its not easy, I spent weeks trying to learn with blender etc and had to stop if I didn't want to get divorced, (dammit, I was getting good too) , thanks for all your contributions Sido and keep up the great work.

I´d planed to release it, but I´ll first release it for FIFA14 as soon as possible.

Well I post screens only form thing there I plan to release, sometime it´s not possible to release them so fast as there created

Thank u for the Post, this is what people should always have in there minds this is all just an hobby nor or job. As I´d told I help as much as I can and so fast as possible, but people forget fast or have just no respect for the person behind the Patches.

For the record Sido started working on Upton Park in 2011 (this is when I sent him the fifa 10 files for conversion)

3 years later and the stadium has still not been released.

Nobody doubts that you are a talented modder Sido but surely you must understand people's frustration? On so many occasions I sent you pictures, textures and information to help you with the stadium and you would always say "I will release in a few days" In 3 years you failed to release the stadium. 3 years.

At the end of the day I'm going to draw a line under it. BFL TEAM is making a beautiful version of Upton Park and hopefully he will release it in the near future.

The longer you go without releasing your stadiums the less credible you become. I think your work looks excellent and the screenshots look very promising. My hope is that you will soon release your stadiums, because the whole community will benefit from this.

I apologise if anything I have said offends you but it is important to clear the air. I wish you well with your future work here at soccergaming.

You should understand that those are personal projects.
Why don't you go to work in his workplace so he has more time to finish the stadium?
He hasnt got any obligation with us.
He will release it when he consider it is finished, if he has time and if he wants to share it with us

It is very easy to sit in front of computer to ask for stadiums and wait.

Don't forget that last year we had no more than 10 stadiums.
Nowadays we have the chance to reached more stadiums than never, but stop demanding because its not easy to create them

I absolutely agree with you, and for the record I do not demand stadiums. If a stadium maker agrees to build a stadium I do everything I can to assist him (just take a look at BFL TEAMS thread)

I have no problem in waiting for a stadium (I think the last few years have proved that)

My issue is that Sido gives people false hope instead of just saying he isn't going to release a stadium. If he is busy and cannot release that is absolutely fine - I can live with that.

You are correct though, stadium making is not an obligation and I understand that. However, he should expect that people will want to download his work when he posts so many good screenshots.

Sido - you should take all of this attention as a compliment. People appreciate your work and want to download your stadiums for their game!

In the last three years how often has changen the stucture of a stadium ? How often has ea changed the way to build the stadiums??
every year! Then you are tired and dont have interest to start every year new....

And dont tell bfl all the time there is no legal issue, the one and only goal that you will reach that he dont stop again your favourite stadium.
Of course is there an legal issue and no he has not the permission to use adidas or alpari logos in his stadium. Yes it is in the game but ea has pay for it and so only ea hat the permission to use these brands logo.
When you dont know anything about legal dont swear that it isnt so.

I am disapointed by your pathetic attitude and I don't intend to respond to your provoking comment.
Judging though by your post, you are the person who deserves this characterization.
Why ?
Simply just because you are trying to gain "credits" in a Gaming Site by posting fotos, promises and no completed work for over a year, in order to gain others' attention, care and everything you didn't get during your childhood or even your adulthood.
Nevertheless, I wish you all the best and I hope to find everything that you want to fill your potential emotional gaps.
