I turned on the Panthers in the 4th quarter and began pulling for the Broncos. (H)

At that point I decided I'd rather see Payton go out on top in a picture perfect ending over having to watch Newton and his annoying celebratory fashions win a Super Bowl.

You disgust me.

Although that Cam non dive was one of the pussiest moves I've seen in a while. Reminded me of Colt McCoy not wanting to return in the National Championship game.

Has he explained why he did that? Even if he thought it was an incompletion players are taught to keep playing just in case so it must be something else.

Kinda OT... But, if Trump & Sanders go head to head - the red states & blue are gonna have a civil war...

You probably hate Peyton Manning as much as I hate Eli.

I actually rate my hate for Eli a little higher than Peyton's. I just hate that both times Peyton has won it all, he has been carried by his defense yet gets all the praise.

We were too confident going in, overlooked a very good team and got our asses kicked. That's just about what happened.

I actually thought the Panthers defense had a really good one, offense was piss poor though.

No they won't. Americans are much less political than most other developed nations.

It was very similar to the Pats game. The offense was abysmal except in the fourth quarter. The difference was that Cam folded under the pressure and Brady just took every shot and kept getting back up. I'd love to see how Cam bounces back from this.

Really thinking about it he had no weapons going in and got completely exposed. I remember in the season that the Panthers had no wide receivers other than a promising rookie, a washed up veteran and a kick returner turned receivier and a solid tight end. He did really well with what he had but in the Super Bowl they just looked outmatched. Some weapons would do wonders for him.

I'm sure there are a bunch of teams who would give any of their offensive weapons for Greg Olsen. Having Tolbert and Stewart doesn't hurt either. Carolina had weapons but the whole thing was predicated on their ability to bait and switch between runs, option plays, play-action, etc. Talib sat on Olsen and it stopped everything else in it's tracks. Of course, if they had a great receiver who could contest passes then Cam could've exposed the pass rush and thus open up their usual game. But how many teams have a TE at Olsen's level AND a top wide receiver AND good RB AND a great FB AND a top QB?

Stewart was gimpy, Tolbert fumbled at least 3 times if I recall and Olsen had a great year, but wasn't known to be a premier tight end before this season.

Carolina's trouble started very early with Cam sailing pass after pass in the first few drives then negating a big catch via the refs. After that there were big drive stopping drops and as the game went on the defense wore down the offensive line and Cam was massacred. Had they started off strong I think it would be a much different result because it seems like momentum played a huge role in the way the game unfolded.

We actually have a great receiver, Kelvin Benjamin, but he tore his ACL in camp.

Those high passes were an issue early in Cam's career and they still pop up when he's nervous, needs to work on it this summer.
