switch language help PC

ok i bought the game off eBAY and the dude didnt tell me it was ORIGINALLY IN THAI language at first. in the description he says its english language etc. and now i dont know wat the heck im doing

heres the confirmation that i actually bought the game..not downloaded it:

and he sent me this days before i got it in the mail:
"FIFA 06 English / Multi-Language Installation Directions

Please follow the steps below EXACTLY to install correctly. Do not deviate or add new steps of your own.

1) Put Disc 1 in CD Drive. Cancel any splash screen that appears by clicking the bottom button.
2) Using My Computer / Windows Explorer, create a new folder called FIFAINSTALL on your Hard Drive (C Drive, Local Disk)
3) Copy the entire contents of the DVD to the FIFAINSTALL folder.
4) Go to the SIMSINSTALL folder, open the AUTORUN folder, right-click on the file called ?AUTORUN.CFG?, choose Properties and clear any checkmark next to ?Read Only.?. Click OK.
5) Go to your Start Menu and open the Notepad program. From the menu, choose FILE  OPEN. In the ?File Open? dialog box, change the ?File Type? drop down menu at the bottom to ?All Files?.
6) Change Notepad?s ?Look In? menu at the top to the new folder you just created and then go to the AUTORUN folder.
7) Open the file called Autorun.cfg.
8) Use Notepad to change the following lines in this file:
a. Change ?thai=1? to ?thai=0?
b. Add a line for your desired language. Examples:
i. English US=1
ii. English UK=1, etc.
9) Save and close the file. Exit Notepad.
10) Go to the FIFAINSTALL folder and double-click the AUTORUN.EXE file. If you cannot find this file, hit F3 on your keyboard and search for it.
11) Enjoy! Any problems, contact us with your item number at [email protected]"


i did all of that, and my game is still in THAI..I CANT UNDERSTAND A WORD THAT IS WRItten and i dont know what im doing..how do i switch?

please help ASAP thanks very much

as you see in item description he wrote:

so from what i understand..when u start it..there is no english in the game??

if so..best thing to do is,.


create a .txt in your

CProgram Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 06 folder and input this:

[OPTIONS]
DEFAULT_TEXT_LANGUAGE = eng
INSTALL_LANGUAGE=eng
DO_CPU_SUB = 1
CPU_SUB = 1

AVAILABLE_LANGS = eng,ger,fre,ita,dut,mex,spa,por,pol

and save it. next rename it to locale.ini

now the next time u start fifa 06 ..it should ask u to choose a language and u should see eng in there...

Help

The tranlation works fine however i no longer have in game music or commentry. But if i remove the locale file and put it back to original language i have both is their any way to fix this let me know please.
