Ever wonder why the Germany national team sucks nowadays ???

Ever wonder that what I`m sayin` is not about that German guy`s fault, but more like EA`s staffs fault to misunderstand what the guy has told them about football ? Cos` the guy was not the game engine programmer ? But EA staffs do ? And they ****in` screwed up ?

You think you got a football brain ? That`s cool . . . This is the first time I know a humanbeing whose brain was made from football . . . That`s explains the whole thing about your intelligence . . .

I used to play fifa all the time, never gave **** about Pes/We. But fifa04 sucked so hard (seriously, fifa03 is 10x beter in term of gameplay) I just had to try Pes3, it sucked for starters, but when i got back at fifa04 it just was soo bad, i had to try play PES, after a week i loved it.
Now WE& is out, and you know what, they actually improved the things that werent good in the previous game. It better than PES3.

That's what they have to learn @ EAsports. They go with a totaly new and improved engine every year, just because of marketing tactics, they never evolve their game to an improvement of last year's. They dont listen to the fans, they put new "off the ball" Stuff in it, Who the **** asked for that? In the PES scene people say "handsballs suck big time" Next version, its improved.
So while PES/WE gets better, fifa just seems to lose control.....

Um I don't know if anyone has noticed this or not but EA has been copying features of PES.

FIFA never had a 2 or 3 deep league system.......Master mode of PES

Just like Fifa, this game falls below my exectations for football games. Dont get me wrong, there are loads of excellent things and a couple of negatives. There are somethings that Fifa does better. But they both dissapoint me.
I must also say, Im not surprised that a forum titled PES v Fifa produces about 97% of useless tossers comments.

Well spoken...Biggus Dick(us) is still on dope cause he cant see FIFA is like hockey on a football pitch while PES ressembles real soccer...

I do agree but i doubt that anybody that has played FIFA and then tried PES goes back to same old EA drill...

I think we can do without the retarded comments which are making this section of the boards a running joke.

In my opinion, I reckon O'neill's expectations for football games may be a little too high - yes, there are flaws in both games, I'll be honest with everyone on that. But when you compare the number of flaws between PES3 and FIFA 2004, it's the latter that seems to have the most of them.

When it comes to gameplay, PES3 is the closest so far in terms of realism - and I stress "so far" because a football game that is as close to the real thing as it is, has not been created yet, and unlikely will we see such a thing for a long time. You hear jokes from cynics saying about "it'll probably be in FIFA 2014" and they're maybe right in one sense.

The FIFA series has seemed to go too technical in some of the gameplay features - the stuff with free kicks and corners, and tactics - fair enough, it's pretty much innovative, but I found it took some of the enjoyment out of the game when you want a fast-paced game of football. The fact that a pacy striker couldn't out-run a sluggish defender over 50 yards doesn't help that cause either. The ideas are there but the application of them isn't right, and the Off The Ball function, which EA have rather overmarketed is another prime example - good idea, but it's not easy to pull off, I found it rather difficult to concentrate on controlling two players at the same time, and no doubt others have as well.

To be honest, I didn't like FIFA 2004, I found it difficult to really get engrossed in the game because it felt so sluggish and uninspiring. The graphics didn't make me too chuffed either, considering I got a 9800 Pro, and made it resemble software mode on one of my old graphics cards.

It may be improved on the horrendous FIFA 2003 but still not up to scratch compared to some of the previous FIFA's. I've played PES since it was first released in 2001 and saw that the game had potential, even though I played a load of FIFA 2002 (patched) back then, so before you start saying I'm one of those who jumped on the PES bandwagon...... (H)

I'm not slagging off here but merely trying to put everything into common sense... I just wish some certain individuals would also see it that way instead of shooting their mouth off

Pretty sure every PES player has played FIFA games but as many others I stopped buying FIFA games cause i never get any of my expectations fulfilled...PES on the other hand at least improves gameplay without constantly replacing or substituting the game with new features...I hate FIFA untill they prove me wrong cause at this moment they have proved that they suck big time...

Chav, I respect wot your saying as there is some constructiveness in there rather than the ' PES is better than FIFA in everyway' comments. I just switch off from those. Fifa 2004 flaws do frustrate me more than WE7's faults as I played WE7 more before I got Euro 2004. However I dont think I am being overly high in my expectations as my major frustrations are with these games stopping you doing things rather than things that have been omitted: ie -its easier for the creators to resolve 50/50 challenges by not having any (clear the ball forward from your defence and your attacker will not approach the defender to make a challenge until he controls it)in WE7. Thats just one example.
I agree, OTB in Fifa is overated to me but player run is superb. WE7 players support very, very slowly if at all and nothing you do in the tactics alters that by much so Fifa is better there. Actually Fifas players support more than they should even if you try defensive tactics. These are just examples but neither game adds up to total satisfaction for me.
I am enjoying Euro 2004 very much and I know that loads of people on here wont touch EA games. I dont care if you do or not, but why do they keep banging on that I must be 10 -13 years old or Ive never played football. Those people are plonkers.
If you prefer WE7 then good for you, I can understand that but why do you need to go converting others or burn them as heritics?
