He definitely would have done way more than Higuain did all tournament long.

He can only claim a fluky goal against Beligum as his best moment...

this year is the worst for me. Barcelona won a shit and Argentina lost the WC final. Suarez is banned and Alexis is gone. Not to mention about Rafael Nadal and his Australian Open final.

Kill me now.

Agüero wasn't at his best either tonight. Won a couple of headers, surprisingly, but that was about it. Still not at full fitness and form.

I wonder how the game would have turned out if di María had been fit and started... but oh well, congratulations to all Germany fans! :P

He was well enough to punch, kick and foul several Germany players, keying on Schweinsteiger specifically.

Yeah i noticed that :/ I guess Argentina wanted it to go to penalties. Messi was pretty exhausted, you'd see him just walking around when the opposition had the ball etc. So he'll be 31 during the next World Cup in Russia, for some reason i doubt that he'll lift the cup in his lifetime. :/ I was supporting Argentina just for that reason.

Messi will play in Russia but I think this was his last chance.

WC 2014 Messi Aguero Di Maria Higuain Rojo Garay etc all 25-28 in their prime. Not to say about Masche

Let's not get carried away, Mr Joachim "I actually almost fucking lost this again" Löw.

Congrats to anyone who carries a warm heart for Germany. Growing up seeing Kahn, Effenberg and those other hideous lederhosen Deutschers I never thought I'd ever feel sympathy towards German football, but I love this generation of players and I'm glad they won.
