Silencer said:Well if things go the way Ajax and Danny have planned we could probably see Dennis Bergkamp in the team next season. Danny and Dennis are good friends and because of that, Dennis is seriously considering playing for Ajax one last time and bring some experience in the team..
Man that would be so fantastic!! Let's keep our fingers crossed lads
Wenger open-minded on another year for Bergkamp
By Richard Clarke
Arsène Wenger is open-minded to the possibility of Dennis Bergkamp playing-on for Arsenal next season.
The 35-year-old Dutch striker has indicated that each of the last two campaigns could be his last, only to sign a one-year deal the following summer.
Manager and player intend to sit down at the discussion table once more after the end of the current season but, Wenger pointed out, there are a number of factors to be considered.
“We will keep [the arrangement] like we have before,” he said. “Dennis is part of the Club and the team here. But he is 36 in May and will play less and less because of his age.
“A lot depends on who will come in, how much he plays, how he would take that solution and how much he wants to go on.
“He has to be completely committed to playing as many games as he plays and accepting that. When you have been regular that can be hard to take.
“But I know it will not be about money. Since I have been here it has never been a money problem with him.”
