Hatem unfortunatly hasn't extended his contract yet. I was optimistic a week ago but I think he rather leaves this summer.

I think that Vonk is good cause he's 35 and can hand his expierience to the younger guys. But seeing just the goalkeeping abilities Lobont and Maarten are indeed better

Well if things go the way Ajax and Danny have planned we could probably see Dennis Bergkamp in the team next season. Danny and Dennis are good friends and because of that, Dennis is seriously considering playing for Ajax one last time and bring some experience in the team..
Man that would be so fantastic!! Let's keep our fingers crossed lads :)

Bergkamp will never come to Ajax. I read somewhere that if he doesn't get a new one year deal at Arsenal then he would retire from football. Even if he is good friends with Blind or not.

I agree with ladylover. I've heard the 'Dennis-is-coming-home' rumor every year before Dennis signs another year extension with Arsenal.

Wenger open-minded on another year for Bergkamp

By Richard Clarke

Arsène Wenger is open-minded to the possibility of Dennis Bergkamp playing-on for Arsenal next season.

The 35-year-old Dutch striker has indicated that each of the last two campaigns could be his last, only to sign a one-year deal the following summer.

Manager and player intend to sit down at the discussion table once more after the end of the current season but, Wenger pointed out, there are a number of factors to be considered.

“We will keep [the arrangement] like we have before,” he said. “Dennis is part of the Club and the team here. But he is 36 in May and will play less and less because of his age.

“A lot depends on who will come in, how much he plays, how he would take that solution and how much he wants to go on.

“He has to be completely committed to playing as many games as he plays and accepting that. When you have been regular that can be hard to take.

“But I know it will not be about money. Since I have been here it has never been a money problem with him.”

Frank de Boer back to Ajax as assistant coach/player? :O

Also, Yannis might stay for another year! :rockman:

Hans Vonk will stay for another year.

Reserve goalie Robert Zwinkels will not have his contract extended and he'll go on trial with RKC. Former-Ajax academy players currently at RKC: Serginho Greene (leaving for F-Word), Nick van der Velden, Michael Krohn-Dehli, Thomas Vermaelen (on loan), Ferdi Elmas, Jerold Promes and Randy Rustenberg.

With tears in my eyes and a standing ovation we applauded for Rafael this afternoon, at the end of the season he finds his form again and now he's leaving :( I'm a big fan of Rafael, I was already when he played in the 2nd team before his progression to the Ajax selection. We will miss him, he scored a goal today and gave an assist for the 2nd one against Groningen. The game itself was not that good though, Groningen got in front by Nevland, van der Vaart equalised and de Ridder made the winning goal.
Blind gave van der Vaart his well deserved public-sub so that we could applaud him. He says he will be back with Ajax someday and I truly hope so but going to HSV??????? :nape: I think he can do better than that i mean Ajax is wayyyyyy better than HSV come on! With Ajax he can play CL or at least Uefa and with HSV he won't. Ah well i wish him all the best there.
Good news is that Trabelsi told the staff he wants to stay with Ajax and now they started talks with him to sign a new contract and I hope they will do everything in their power to keep him in Amsterdam.

That's it, the end of the season, In july awaits the Amsterdam Tournament with Arsenal, Boca Juniors and FC Porto, practisematches vs Borussia Gladbach and Arminia Bielefeld and in August the start of the competition and the CL prerounds.
Not a great season but at least we managed to qualify for the prerounds in the CL, better than nothing like F.j8*YId (6)
Maybe this summer we will have van der Meyde back from Inter we'll see..

I was also in the stadium did feel some emotions when Raffie was substituted. Yet he wasn't as good in the last two years and I don't think he will be missed that dearly.

Well I guess I need to buy a new Ajax jersey now that he's gone.

What is the news on the summer transfers out this summer? Vaart is gone and I have read Pienaar is on the way out. Anyone else? I really hope we can turn things around next season to make up for this **** one.
