Some of there stuff is great, IMO. Has great energy and some of the lyrics say a lot. Not keen on it all though. Great potential.

Opinions?

Yeah they arent bad, they're from Sheffield though so i should really support them more (H)

Mind you, the cover to "i bet that you look good on the dance floor" is ace

uh huh, everyone in my college loves them, they just jump on the bandwagon, i think most of those bands sound the same, hard-fi, babyshambles and kaiser chiefs are the only descent ones

Didn't take long for the first "they're crap" posts. I actually rate them pretty highly. At first I thought it was another one of them overrated new bands but I still bought the album a few weeks ago and it's a brilliant. Not a single bad track on there, good old energetic rock. The songs they released as single aren't actually the best tracks on the CD though.

Majorly overrated. I'd heard their album a while ago, and its nothing special. They're just another average indie band (in fact, they'res tons of better indie groups out there without a sniff of a record deal), but they've had great PR. Their song "When The Sun Goes Down" was originally called "Scummy". They renamed it to make it more appealing to the general public, and it worked. That just sums it all up really.

They are not bad but they seem to be over rated to me. I would say their success is more down to a lack of decent competition, so they have been over hyped.

Having said that Arctic Monkeys arent that bad though, plenty of hate for them here however.... :boohoo:

yeh i agree with most of the above things, ive kind of been exposed to a lot of them, and they arent BAD, but they're stupidly overhyped here in the UK.

they are a good band and the cd is ace, ive been listening to it a lot lately. they arent too popular in us right now, but i think they got the potential to make it.

After hearing some opinions and reviews, I had to listen to this. Well, they are nice, but yes, they are very overrated...still, they have great potential. But once again, and they came out from UK, they have the Oasis ghost all over them...can they suceed next (as Oasis couldn't after What's The Story(Morning Glory))...

But as I told before...they are good, but not as good as many bands that came of UK in their first release...take for example Bloc Party or Kaiser Chiefs...
