I think the Arsenal players underestimated the hunger of Hull, and thought they would smash City easily. Like their fans did actually. Thats what happens when you show little or no respect for your opponants.

The best football laugh I've had for a long time. (Y)

I think Chelsea are having the last laugh with the Gallas/Cole Deal, Its the second time this year hes been uncommitted, I cant believe he was made captain.

Good win last night. Vela is amazing, too bad he didnt score!

Yep, I couldn't be more ecstatic with the scoreline. What a phenomenal bounce back win against such a quality club like porto....I only saw the extended highlights so i cant go into specifics, but i do have one complaint.....WTF was up with RvP's knee slide celebration? That was the most Godawful execution of that celebration in the history of western civilization, man. He just didn't have the force and dynamism necessary to produce an Henry-esque glide through the grass, man.....weaksauce!

How the f*ck do you go from losing 2-1 to Hull @ Home to beating 4-0 to Porto @ Home. 8| 8|

el o el Yoss on the RvP celebration.

The optimist in me says fluke goal, and we showed character to equalize. We're still only four points behind.

The pessimist in me says wtf eight points dropped in seven games. **** we're challenging for fourth instead of first and Wenger should have ******* bought actual quality players.

I think at this point I'm still optimistic, but a few more games like this might change my mind.

Arsenal were never gonna challenge for first, with the players they have, this season anyway.

Little bit early to be saying that, but I agree unless Wenger makes some changes to the first team we will probably finish 3rd or 4th.

We need to give Djourou a chance at the back, and reward the form of some of the youngsters, Vela, Wilshere, Ramsey and Bendtner. At the moment some of the senior players in the squad are too complacent.

And speak of the devil the football gods are shining on us now. Two injuries to Van Persie and Gallas. If they are still out when the league starts again ill put money on us winning the game.

Highly satisfying win today.

I thought both teams played well and we showed character to grind it out.

Btw I'm glad I don't have to listen to all those ******* loony hammers yell handball every time the ball enters our penalty area anymore.

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long

Damn, I was hoping they'd find a way to score in the last few minutes and steal 2 points away from you guys....

The thing that pisses me off so much today is just how ******* predictable we are. We only start to play when are losing or trying to win late in the game and then when we do ******* get the lead we think the season's over and our minds leave the match. I can't believe the immaturity and naivety in that performance. Going up 3-1 wasn't enough, we had to wait for Tottenham to score and make it 4-2. And then once it was 4-3 with just over 5 minutes left we didn't even have the defensive quality or brains to keep them out then. We ran around like a bunch of kids, which in a way we are, and didn't show any composure to keep the ball, and the midfielders didn't show the tactical awareness to get their asses back and close down Modric before he was able to shoot. For example if you watch what I believe was our last attack before they scored Fabregas tried to play a threw ball to Adebayor which was easily intercepted. He should have thought for a second, kept it and if possible taken it to the corner flag. It's just simple immaturity that reflects the fact that we don't have a clue how to play once we get the lead. Recall our big losses last year we had the lead in all of them, even in the Birmingham match.

Is our league campaign over? No, but the cracks are showing time and time again. We're not a very smart team in the sense we only play with urgency when we need to and when you're not too strong defensively you need to play with as much intensity as possible, even when you're 2 up with just over 5 minutes left.

This is the kind of match that shows to me that Arsenal's youngsters are not quite ready. The irony though, is that one of the oldest - Almunia - ****ed things up big time. I've said it once and I'll say it again, Arsenal needs a real ******* goalkeeper
