Thats why I never have a prediction before a game. You end up looking silly.:innocent_smile_1:

Good win. After a hard fought game against Celtic midweek, this was a good day to play United.

Damn I was hoping for a draw of course.

Help?

It's North versus South, Good versus Evil, Red versus Redder red........it's ManU versus Arsenal.

Ahh Martin Keown. How can anyone describe his actions with a straight face?

Nice win, I saw the game and I'm really impressed with how you guys played. Looks like Nasri isn't at all overrated; the young frenchman is living up to the hype.

When you're doing well and surprisingly lose a game you wonder, just how did we manage to lose? The opposite happened today and I haven't really been able to answer that question with reversed circumstances yet.
It might come down to just the extra effort we put in knowing that our title chase was on the line. Or did it come down to brilliant individual efforts from Nasri, Clichy, and Gallas? Maybe we won because Utd are slightly off form? I'd say all those things definitely factored in, but if I had to pick one thing I especially liked today it was the maturity we showed with the lead.
We defended well and stayed calm even after Utd scored. We seemed to have partially learned the lesson we got from the Tottenham game. There's still lots of work to be done defensively as we did get lucky on some occasions, but maybe it just needs some time. As great as this win is it doesn't mean were strong contenders for the title now. We are definitely in the hunt, but we'll have to pick up our play against every team not just against the big ones. Remember two seasons ago when we were poor in the league, but had a very good record against the other big three?

Thats a good post mate. You just about summed it all up right there. I couldn't believe that Arse were still breaking away to try to score with 5 minutes left, but they rode the storm and survived, so that's the important thing.

The Arse defence is still very wobbly, and a better or sharper team today would have scored quite a few more than United could..

This should empower the players a little more, and the fans, although the players need to refrain from bragging out loud so much in future, and realise that self arrogance can actually work against you in the end, and can add to the embarrassment when things aint going so great.

I don't know if this win will make any difference in the long run as far as Arse are concerned, but it moves you up to 3rd so that aint bad for starters, and it's always nice to see Fergie all upset.

3-0

You wont see many better finishes this season than Vela's for our 3rd.

I feel that he could give Walcott a break in the first team. He isnt as quick but his finishing and dribbling is at another level.

Starting XI
Ray Wilkins has been proven a stupid clueless c*nt.

"Playing a young or weakened team undermines the value of the competition.

And we have not and will not do that. We want to win it, big time."

1. They send out a reserve side.

2. Arsenal 3 Wigan 0, Chelsea 1 Burnley 1 (lose on penalties)

That is all. Thank you.

We should focus on the cups this year. We're not the kind of team (with the players on the field today) that has enough intelligence and maybe even talent to be the best team over a long stretch of time. But as we proved against Utd if we get up for a match, we can play. And when I say the team isn't good enough with the players from today I mean we'd have to get Silvestre out and try Djourou, and if that doesn't work try Song, and if that doesn't work go back to Gallas and Toure. I'd even try Clichy at CB for a game. I'd also like to see less of Denilson and more of Diaby, and we'd need Van Persie and Ade to get on from. Wenger for some reason doesn't try these changes and buys a player way past his peak who was never that good, so we probably won't win the league this year.

Walcott out for three months, Gallas reveals unrest in the team, we are capitulating.

Who do you think is the player who is insulting everyone? Gallas said he's 6 years younger than him and Gallas is 31. I would have guessed Adebayor, but he's not 25. That leaves Eboue, Eduardo, Sagna, and Van Persie. I'd definitely say Van Persie, he seems like he could be an asshole and there's been history of him insulting teammates.
That leaves the question Van Persie or Gallas? I'd say Van Persie can **** off if what's being said is true. He looks brilliant for the Netherlands, but frankly he's got a poor attitude, is always injured, and doesn't look like a Premiership player to me. I know a lot of Arsenal fans don't like Gallas, but I would see Van Persie being the problem more than him. Sell Van Persie and use that money combined with the money you should have spent on Alonso to get Benzema.
