Arsenal striker Robin van Persie is closing in on a first-team return after more than four months on the sidelines.
Van Persie, 26, has been out since suffering ankle ligament damage in an international friendly in November.
"Robin will be joining the squad for full training imminently," club physio Colin Lewin told the Arsenal website.
Lewin said Johan Djourou and Kieran Gibbs were also nearing comebacks, and that Cesc Fabregas should "comfortably" be fit in time for the World Cup.
But it is the return of Van Persie that will please Arsenal most as they enter the final four weeks of the season still in contention for the Premier League title.
The Dutchman, who has been doing ball work for several weeks, returned to the club's London Colney training base towards the end of March.
Boss Arsene Wenger said then that he looked "very sharp" and the striker is now on the verge of being able to resume full training

or any team with European aspirations'.

Arsenal have had a lot more injuries then any of the other teams. Check it out.
