The Legend
This is our defensive situation:

First team:
3. Ashley Cole - DL (broken foot, english international, out until atleast december)
12. Lauren - DR (fit, retired from international football)
18. Pascal Cygan - DC/L (fit, not in the international picture)
20. Phillipe Senderos - DC (fit, swiss international, plays midweek in Turkey)
22. Gael Clichy - DL (broken foot, french junior international, out 3-4 months)
23. Sol Campbell - DC (fit, english international)
27. Emmanuel Eboue - DR (fit, fringe cote d'ivore international, may play in Nations Cup)
28. Kolo Toure - DC/R/L (fit, cote d'ivore international, if fit he WILL feature in the nations cup)

That means: 6 fit, 2 going away on a long international, no leftys.

Come January we have 5 fit senior defenders for 4 spots :|

Reserves/Youth:
34. Matthew Connolly - DC (fit, 18 years old)
37. Ryan Garry - DL (questionable fitness, Ryan hasen't played a competitive match in nearly a year)
38. Kerrea Gilbert - DR/C (fit, he was captain of the u-17 team, he's big and strong)

3 players, 2 untested and Garry.

The option of Justin Hoyte is unlikely as Wenger is a man of his word with these loan deals.

We're gonna be in a real mess if we get another injury.

Well January is when the transfer window opens so maybe Wenger will actually buy a player.

Sevilla's Francisco Gallardo has been charged by the Spanish soccer federation for biting team mate Jose Antonio Reyes' penis after he had scored in the club's 4-0 win over Valladolid at the weekend. Reyes was besieged by ecstatic teammates after scoring & Gallardo was seen to bend down & nibble at the goal scorer's genitalia in an unusual form of goal celebration, according to a report on Ananova.com. The midfielder could face a fine or suspension for his actions, which may deemed to be an infringement of what is described in the federation's rulebook as "sporting dignity & decorum". "I felt a bit of a pinch but I didn't realise what Gallardo had done until I saw the video," Reyes said. "The worst thing about it is the teasing I'm going to get from my team mates."

lol. when this happen? :D

According to the italian media Lauren could be one of the replacements for Cafu, because this could be his last season for Milan

Has anyone noticed Fabregas' ongoing maturness? Each game he seems better, against Wigan he was by far Man of the Match and v.s. Thun he did what neither Reyes, Ljumberg, Song nor Flamini could do.

Milan wont get Lauren, dont worry :)

Anyways, I reckon if Henry wants to go, Arse should sell him. I think it's now time Robin van Persie to replace him. His goal vs Blackburn was some crazy sh*t. Sell Henry for like £40m and get all the cover for the whole squad. And knowing Wenger, the money would be really well spent.

it's all crap, by selling henry the whole squad will be downcast so it's quite a dumb thing to do specially when you've sold vieira off last year and not bought in any class player. it'll break the club loyalty. Also the board has already said that wenger has upto 60 mil. to spend this Jan(if i'm not mistaken). I guess one defender should do it. Fabregas is getting better by the day and we all can see persie's classy finishing right now.

Centre mid in priority. We can't rely on a 19 year old. We need a domanating midfielder... like Albelda...

Fabregas is an A class player. We dont need one to be in the First Time, but someone who can play when he is injured or when he carries to many games on his back. Hossam Ghaly has been linked to Arsenal for some time now. He is a good choice.
