I wonder if Trap will use him as a second forward to Vieri, or in the 'trequartista' role behind two strikers.

My lineup would be:

:::::::::: Vieri :::::: Miccoli ::::::::::::
:::::::::: :Bow:Baggio:::::::::::::::
:::::: Perrotta :::::::::: Fiore::::::::::
::::::::::::::::::Pirlo:::::::::::::::::
Zambrotta ::: Cannavaro ::: Ferrari ::: Panucci ::
:::::::::::::: Buffon ::::::::::::::::

Good luck to Baggio. I hope he ends his international career on a high note. I will always remember him as "The Divine Ponytail," as he was called when I first learned of him.

I dont think Baggio will score unless Italy get a set piece

Reyes wasnt called up cos he changed clubs and they wanted to give him to find his feet in england well that was the reason before but this is just a friendly game i thought theyd want to give him a run before Euro 2004

what makes him have more chance of scoring from a set piece?
he is a good FK taker, but not a beckham
his brilliance comes when he has the ball at his feet
im guessing every second pass will be played to him aswell

he isnt a natural goalscorer

he scores a few now and then but as you say he's best with the ball at his feet

this maybe means that he will be the one handing out the final pass and not on the receiving end of one

I wouldn't put him in the same group as Trez, Ruud or Pippo because it would be an insult to Baggio.

Baggio is a Del Piero or Totti like player and all 3 of them are goalscorers.

Why is Reyes not on the squad?

REYES' SPAIN PAIN

Arsenal striker Jose Reyes admits his joy at winning the Barclaycard Premiership title has been tempered by his fall from favour with Spain coach Inaki Saez.

Reyes scored twice for his country against Armenia in October's Euro 2004 qualifying game and appeared to have secured his place in Saez's squad for this summer's championships in Portugal.

But since then the Seville-born striker, who joined the Gunners from his hometown club for an initial £10.5million in January, has been omitted from Saez's last two squads and has seen his friend Joaquin Sanchez called up to replace the injured Luis Garcia for tomorrow's clash with Italy.

"I am really glad they called Joaquin up," Reyes told Radio Marca.

"Since I have been in England, I have stopped existing in Spain. I haven't wondered what would have happened if I had continued at Sevilla, but it isn't something that worries me too much."

Nevertheless, Reyes admitted he was happy in London and was full of praise for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

"He is a great coach. I came to Arsenal with the idea of adapting to English football," said Reyes.

"I think he has helped me do that and we have even won the title - something I am not used to doing. I am surprised by the pace of the English game, it's much faster than Spain."

Thats what I meant

please dont tell me u were trying to say that baggio isnt in as igher class as them

he is a potent goal scorer like those three, but just as creative as a totti
once the ball gets around the penalty area, he can do anything with it

I hope that Zlatan swoops down on the stadium on a parachute and scores 4 goals (two on each of the teams net)

Totti isnt a goalscorer, thats something sorta of new of him this season, but I think Baggio looks more in his style of play to Del Piero with more technique and goal scoring ability, do you agree?

exactly

I didnt say he's on the same level as Trez etc, Im saying he is better

My point is that he is unlikely to score since he isnt the "striker" kind who waits for the ball etc

If he does score, expect it to be a brilliant goal
