Possible season changing win last night for my Badgers in the Carrier Dome. This is such a young team, but Bo Ryan is clearly making progress with the new guys. Ethan Happ is going to end up with so many program records when all is said and done. They need him to average 10 points this year as a freshman; when Koenig and Hayes leave he's going to be the man.

That young man has so much potential as a college player. I'm stoked that he decided to redshirt last year.

You won't believe it, but I'm excited about college basketball this year with Ben Simmons carving it up.

His numbers overnight were ludicrous - 43 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 steals and 3 blocks...Surely we'll throw him straight in for Rio next year. Hopefully he goes number 1.

He will. Simmons is the best college player since Kevin Durant.

And not only is his ability so high, but he is very unselfish.

From what I've read, he's perhaps a little too unselfish. Needs to take control and back himself to score a little more. That said, that's what's exciting about his 43. First time he's put it on himself to score the large portion of points.

With Thon Maker the year after, we should have two first rounders in two years.

The one news I read on Simmons when the season was about to start described him as a player who comes along every 20 years which caught my attention because I'd never even heard of his name before.

Quickly becoming one of my favorites and what a name.

So slapping the backboard after a dunk is making a come back but wasn't it outlawed or didn't the refs hit the players with a technical foul? I don't know but I've seen LeBron do it this week and Anthony-Towns today.

Kenyon Martin would be proud.

At 23 and 13, the Clippers are back in business. Riding a 7-game winning streak with CP3 playing lights out.
