You should research before talking crap.

Fahrmann has the second best stats in playing "to nil" and in "minutes per goal against". And Schalke is not even the second best defenders in Liga. BVB and Leverkusen conceded less goals.
I won't say he is the second best goalkeeper in the Liga, because he played less games than his counterparts, but this still shows that he has been the first Schalke goalkeeper in years that has top quality.

As a comparison:
http://www.transfermarkt.de/en/2-bundesliga/weisseweste/wettbewerb_L2.html

Giefer is the 10th on the list for clean sheets of the second Bundesliga.

You can't compare Fährmann to Unnerstall. Unnerstall was never really regarded as a good GK. Maybe he had some good saves, but he was a constant insecure factor. Him and Hildebrand being the first goalkeepers was the reason why the fans and club wanted Giefer (they also wanted Baumann and Yann Sommer back then). Ralf Fährmann has been injured that time. Since he recovered, he made an absolute impact and impressed everyone.
As a matter of fact, Fährmann has been unlucky a long time. He was considered as a future number 1 GK when they brought him back after Neuer left Schalke. But since then he has been injured a lot. Now, having a season without injury, he is even accepted by fans, something the 2 GK before him never were.

I am not attacking on you (not even a Schalke fan). Just saying facts. Giefer will be the second goalkeeper, Hildebrand and Unnerstall will leave anyway. Also, Fährmann has extended his contract until 2019. Don't you think they would never do that if they want Giefer as GK number one? He will still be an importand member though, as nobody knows if Fährmann will be without injury next season. But if he stays fit, I don't see a chance for Giefer to replace him.

Those are great stats, but stats like that aren't just down to the goalkeeper but to the defense. Schalke don't have have the 2nd best defense, OK, but it's certainly much better than what Trapp or Ulreich have in front of them.

Like I said, if Giefer were as good as he was a year ago, I think he'll become Schalke's 1st choice within a year. I'm sure he'll start 2nd, I'm sure Fahrmann and he will fight it out and Fahrmann might very well win. And yeah, Schalke would have extended Fahrmann whether or not they wanted Giefer as 1st choice because he's a good enough keeper with potential. Why wouldn't they?

I'm honestly surprised that Fahrmann has such good stats (not so much these ones, I looked at saves per goals (which isn't conclusive either)) since he has never wowed me like other keepers have. I'll have to watch him closely next season and see if I was wrong or if his stats are abnormal.

Yeah, I mean.. I was someone who thought "Schalke needs to buy a GK, why they are using their third keeper?" when Fahrmann got his playing time. But after seeing some matches, he impressed me like no Schalke keeper did before since Neuer. He has got the talent and I am sure, he will stay nr 1. Schalke could be happy though to have someone like Giefer as GK nr 2 (Werder would be happy to have him)

I remember Fahrmann from several years ago when Neuer was the #1 at Schalke and I thought he was pretty good. It always kind of surprised me that he never really got his chance.

So Mandzukic has been left out of the squad for the Cup final and is already on his way out. He deserves to be treated better than this.

If Pep's gonna have Lewy and Muller and Gotze as false 9s I get why he doesn't want gim even though it's stupid.

As best as I can tell, Pep will be starting either Hojberg or Boateng at LB. Probably Gotze as a false 9. Oh, and let's just mention again that he is starting Hojberg in the German Cup Final.

Can't watch the match. What is this formation? What's with the squad selection? Does Pep not care about the cup?

Bundesliga 11 would be:

Lewandowski - Raffael
Reus - Firmino
Baier - Kroos
Rodriguez - Naldo - Grosskreutz? - Lahm
Fahrmann

I guess. Grosskreutz can play anywhere and Naldo is the only CB, anyway. Toprak or Jantschke would be my picks for the other CB spot, I guess.

25. Johannes Geis (Mainz) - sure
24. Naldo (Wolfsburg) - about right
23. Admir Mehmedi (Freiburg) - ehhhh
22. Tobias Werner (Augsburg) - I mean, 3 Augsburg players?
21. Kevin Grosskreutz (Dortmund) - too low
20. Franck Ribery (Bayern) - vastly overrated
19. Shinji Okazaki (Mainz) - whatever
18. Hakan Calhanoglu (HSV) - whatever
17. David Alaba (Bayern) - didn't have a great year, but clearly a top 5-10 player in the league
16. Mario Mandzukic (Bayern) - needs to be about 10 spots higher
15. Andre Hahn (Augsburg) - okay
14. Arjen Robben (Bayern) - too low
13. Ralf Fahrmann (Schalke) - ehhh, better than Neuer?
12. Max Kruse (Gladbach) - seems high
11. Adrian Ramos (Berlin) - about right
10. Toni Kroos (Bayern) - I guess about right
9. Kevin Volland (Hoffenheim) - ridiculously too high
8. Josep Drmic (Nurnberg) - too high
7. Daniel Baier (Augsburg) - way too high
6. Raffael (Gladbach) - great player, but not top 5 in the league
5. Ricardo Rodriguez (Wolfsburg) - great player, but not top 5 in the league
4. Robert Lewandowski (Dortmund) - too low
3. Roberto Firmino (Hoffenheim) - he is not better than Lewandowski
2. Philipp Lahm (Bayern) - yes
1. Marco Reus (Dortmund) - yes

Lot of Bayern players left off. I mean, I know we limped across the finish line, but it is still a team that wrapped up the league in March. Should be Boateng, Neuer, Dante, Muller, Schweinsteiger, and Thiago (near the bottom because of injuries, but his genius still was on display enough for #25 IMO) on the list IMO. I know it's boring to have the same players on there every year, but I mean, we specifically go about buying the best talent in the league, it's not a surprise when we have the best players in the league.

I think it's more a list about ability and output relative to your teammates and the rest of the league. So, while say Thiago is definitely better than Geis or Werner he is contribution to his team's performance is only a sliver of theirs. I prefer it this way.

You don't need 3 Augsburg players on there, nor do you need Ribery or Fahrmann. See, I've already opened up 3 slots. How do you have a Bundesliga list without Thomas Muller? This was arguably his best year at Bayern.

Does anyone know where and how (and likelihood) of getting tickets to see Hertha Berlin next season? My brother is moving there and I'd like to take the opportunity to watch a Bundesliga match but the high sell-out rates worries me. Also, all the information from their ticket vendor is in German.

Don't we have ANY German members?
