It contains the following fixing
1) 3rd kit now appear in the game (you need to unlock them in the shop)
2) Adboards visualization now works well
3) Shorts number hot spot added.
4) Can import hair using fsh (as well as CMP 07 files)
5) Can import 1G faces
6) When changing roles in a formation they are saved properly

I have also tried to improved 3D view compatibility with more graphic boards.

Generic head model selection is still present though I think that rick1234 is right saying that it has no effect in the game.

Continue testing please! I am confident that we can plan just another beta on friday and then release on next sunday.

Try reinstall Fifa 08. Instalation fresh. Delete folder fifa 08 into my documents. Try. CM 08 beta 3 work fine. Really good.

Anyone know what the shorts number hotspot does? I can change numbers on it but what exactly does it do? What is setting 1 and what is setting 10?

Beta 3 seems to do everything i want it to do at the moment. No complaints from me. Still can't import new flags over the flags I installed previously with a patch but I don't think that's CM08's fault.

Anyone know where the flags are stored so i can change them manually? This is really bugging me. I tried looking for them but can't find the exact file.

Also, if i just replace existing kits and addboards, will my manager mode be broken?

All in all, great job Rinaldo. Love CM08.

ZeVs, if your fifa isn't in English, try using the option select lan.db and select the one that apears (I use the brasilian Portuguese and the tool work just by this way)... if you are using English I don't know what's going on

Thanks guys abot info but i try this things before.. well i must trying reinstall fifa but i don`t think the problem is fixing because i have backup of original fifa08 db and cm08 don`t work for me too :(:(:(:(:(:(

Rinaldo, for Beta 4 please also fix the Banner-Problem!
We can't import 2GF Banners although it worked with Monkey Dragon Series 08, maybe you can find out how it worked there.

Make sure the kits you import are 768x768. Some kit makers have been releasing kits in 1024x1024. I imported some of those and fifa started crashing. Also make sure the GK kits are 512x512 to avoid problems.

I think you are having the same problem as me. Flags that were imported with monkeydragon's porgram can't be changed with CM08. i have no problem importing 2G flags over the default 1G flags in the game, but i can't replace 2G flags that were imported before CM08.

So far, Beta 3 has been working fine for me.

I have a request for an improvement, but it's not a bug.

In the pull down menus for selecting a team, league, or tournament from those screens, can you include an option to sort the list by asset ID instead of alphabetically. CM07 had these lists sorted by asset ID, and I found that to be a much easier way of navigating through the list than navigating through an alphabetically sorted list.

You missunderstood me, I didn't replace flags. I import flags for teams which hadn't been in game yet.


By the way, I noticed an other VERY STRANGE bug. I don't know what it is about and sorry that parts of the debug message are in german, but maybe you understand what is meant, Rinaldo. This sometimes happens when I try to create new players for new teams and only in the face part of their creation.
I had similar problem with importing kits for new teams and it seems like there weren't added an extra line in the db for that new team or player...

On the same subject of sorting....when I look at a team in the roster tab I can sort by however I want.... name/position/overall rating etc.
But when I bring up the formations and try to sort the team in that tab nothing works..there doesn't seem to be a sort function...this was possible with CM07, so I believe it's an easy fix, or maybe your waiting for the full release,but thought I'd let you know.

Okay, here's my body size problem better illustrated:


As you can see, all three first players have very small bodies with body size code 2 (Normal), whereas I can't get me that same size with 0 (Very Small), 1 (Small), or 2 (Normal).

Any idea how to get that body size?

Have you checked your body size in an actual match? You mite be very small once you go into a game and zoom in on yourself. (If that makes an sense)

Yeah, I checked in a replay, but I still look that size. Thanks for the idea though.

Yes Marcus you are right. The last year I have understood that ingame editor mess up the size codes, so you have to see ingame to understand well the difference between different players ;)
