the problem with England right now is the midfield and the strikers!!!
the midfield of England was flatterred during the world cup as the only one able to match the Brazilian midfield but in the end both were very very deceiving!!!!
i think playing Hargreaves with Lampard was good with Gerrard with more freedom to move around on the right... that i think was a good formation but now Hargreaves' injured... we can't play that formation... Carrick is still not good enough to do the job.. maybe McLaren shud try Parker or Barton in here....
on the left!!! it's hard to find someone to replace Joe Cole!!! Downing's crosses are pretty good but he lacks the fantasy of Joe Cole... maybe put Lennon on the left(he played on the left a few times for spurs)... but Lennon is injury-proned

now upfront.... Rooney-Crouch haven't played a lot together..so i don't know whether this duo wud work well... Crouch is pretty good in keeping the ball and can cause problems to defenders with his height although he's not great in the air..... and he's got a decent scoring record with Liverpool and England.... Rooney has not yet shown a lot for England.... he did not played that much recently.... must see how he can perform... just hope he plays like he plays for united.. apart from Rooney-Crouch.. i don't see other decent strikers around.... apart Jonhson who i think is good! Defoe has not shown anything great....

Holding back the development? Players develop themselves at their clubs, then when they are good enough they play for the National Team, if he needs to develop in the national team then he's clearly not good enough yet. Ok, he needs the experience of playing for England but he's getting that at the moment just being in the England set-up and coming on as a sub.Kiwi land;2277500 said:

There are stats that prove this.) and he's played as part of a 4 man rotation. Johnson is all Everton have. Crouch is the new scapegoat with Beckham and Sven gone.

If they don't take off Rooney, He's gonna get himself sent off. He is not in a happy mood tonight. Although saying that, Israeli defenders are being a little provocative and one in particular might get himself a Rooney left hook if he aint careful.

Tuned in late for the game, and already I knew that I had missed nothing. Good thing I was doing other thing while watching the game otherwise I would have demanded my Hour and Fifteen minutes back. You guys need to sack McLaren. He was quick to sack Beckham to prove that he was going to take the team in a different direction. Why then does he not bench those that don't perform?? A rooney name comes to mind.
England is the only country in the world that trashes it's best players. You treated Beckham like dog **** when he was often the only reason you won at all, and look what happens without him.
You get a bunch of Carlos*offs more concerned with writing books and screwing pop stars than playing football (Beckham finds a way to do all those things). It's no small wonder why Wenger doesn't sign English players.
