The point I was making with Henry (not to drag all this up again) is that he acted inappropriately on the pitch, Terry acted inappropriately off the pitch, so in the game of football (not in the wider world) I would regard that as worse. There has been the suggestion that Bridge wasn't with this woman at the time (I don't remember reading whether or not they were together) so if they weren't together its a matter of Terry betraying his wife, not Bridge as such.

And that last little dig there, well I'm presuming from your location that you're an American so do tell me if say Landon Donovan or Tim Howard, important players for your NT, cheated with the wife of say a fairly average player like Marvell Wynne or another fringe player then what would you say? I doubt you'd want one of your key players off your team so you can't criticise us for wanted Terry to stay.

I think that the fact that Capello axed him means that there is some truth in these stories afterall. Capello wouldn't axe him if these stories weren't true right?

Truth has NOTHING to do with all of this. This is all about, as usual, the tabloid mentality of people who seem to live their pathetic lives through stories like this. This creates a media frenzy, who proceed to "enlighten" us to what they think we want to hear, and at the same time tell us what we should be thinking. Some listen and some don't.

To give in to the media is very sad, but at least now they will have to write about something more important, like Katie Price's pubic hairstyle. I know for a fact that a lot of English people would be fascinated by that.

What Henry did is not a matter of captaincy. What Terry did was (presumably) betraying a teammate, which is not what a team captain should do.

My last comment wasn't a dig and I would expect the same to happen on any NT, I was just making a point about the likely outcome.
