The thing with Cole is that he's not an out and out winger. He's like a No.10 playmaker that likes operate from the wide areas.
I think he's got plenty of assists to his name at Chelsea from more central areas than from crosses.
But as of currently, he's not settling into our diamond midfield formation, it'll interesting how he does if Ancelotti decides to adapt to 4-4-2 once we have Anelka fit again to partner Sturridge.
One thing's for sure, Capello likes to play with proper wingers. Ones with pace and crossing ability, which worries me about Joey's position at the moment. As mentioned, there's Lennon, Young, Downing, and even Walcott who can play there. I have to say, currently Joey's probably down the pecking order with Capello, unless things change in the coming months. We'll see.

I don't rate most of the other options, I like Milner and Lennon but other than that I don't think the other widemen would cut it, seeing as Walcott barely plays and seems injured quite a bit now. Maybe a bit controversial of me to dismiss A.Young like that but I just don't think he can do it in an England shirt right now (bit like Agbonlahor in that way). SWP definitely isn't top drawer imo. Capello seems a fan of Downing though so it could be tough for Joe to get back in, particularly given Gerrard currently has that wide left role (although he comes inside a lot he's still essentially starting from the left).
I hope Bentley moves on this window as well. Didn't like the guy's attitude much but he did have good delivery into the box in his Blackburn days and if he could find that form then might be worth using.

I'm agree, he shouldn't be.
All three main candidates had their own personal issues as well, but Lampard's the best choice.
Rooney can be a good captain in future, if he can control his temper.
If they strip away his armband, it would be though for Terry to resist in that squad.

Terry should still be captain for me, in any other job having an affair wouldn't see you be demoted from a position. Its private, like this should be.
Besides, most of the players who will be annoyed by this I don't even want in South Africa. Bridge is definitely not our 2nd best LB so shouldn't be going, his team mate SWP isn't good enough either. I only value Gareth Barry currently for England out of the City side (hopefully Richards and Onuoha one day).

Seeing how the media is making this story the number one headline, its easy to see why them fans are booing Terry's every move.
What they don't realize that we have no idea the real story behind this, there was an injunction on the media in the first place so its likely that its been known by the players behind the scenes.
Nevertheless, the "Team Bridge" thing, none of the England players participated. Because they know Terry is the best player to lead out England for the World Cup.
It doesn't cancel out what Terry did was wrong, but what the media is doing is putting their own interests(which is simply selling the papers) ahead of England's chances of winning the World Cup.

The only reason that Bridge is upset is because this affair has been made public, and he has been embarrassed by being named by the media. He was finished with this women long befor JT resumed sleeping with her. So to imply that JT was shagging her behind Waynes back is ridiculous.
