Even though the race for the top is pretty much over 2 weeks earlier, this season still has got to be the best one in the last 15 years. Its amazing that a team can get only 77 points and still win the title compared to previous seasons where you needed well over 80 to win. And at the bottom its even crazier. In the past 35 points would pretty much assure you of survival while this season you can collect 36 points and still finish last. That's like winning a third of your games and still getting relegated. Really says on how much the quality of teams improved. And I really think that the quality improved rather than deteriorated at the top. There is not a single away stadium that United or Chelsea can go to and be pretty sure that they will win it with ease there. Every place is tough. United has shown amazing character, Chelsea has done really well to get back from their slump and Arsenal who matched Barcelona (arguably their best starting 11 ever) are probably going to finish 3rd!

I agree. The fact that United reached the UCL final and Chelsea and Tottenham reached the quarter finals shows that quality of the top EPL teams has not significantly gone down.

In the last 10 years, it has most of the time been a 2 horse race for the most part. But this time It has been 3-4 teams competing for the title. United, Arsenal, Chelsea and C*ty at some point.

Yeah we will see what happens next season. United will definitely be better, Chelsea will sort out their aging problem, City will spend no doubt and my bet is that Arsenal will make a few changes at the back. Will be more intense than this year!

I hope what you said about Arsenal comes true. Wenger's got serious work to do. Pat Rice is gonna retire so hopefully we get a great replacement as its really important. We saw that Chelsea situation this year and the time ManU had Carlos Queiroz(or wateva). His defensive methods was very solid for United. We need to someone like him to sort out our defensive aspect.
The quality of the top clubs hasn't been the same in my eyes but the quality of the lesser oppositions have been a huge improvement. Also some unexpected situations considering Villa and West Ham were very surprising.
For next season I won't right off Liverpool either if they spend. Therefore Wenger we need your better version back as soon as possible.

Liverpool are probably going to spend and give it a go again, although I can't see them edging out City, maybe Arsenal depending on what Arse do in the market. If Spurs don't get into Europe I think they'll have to start selling players and will slowly slump back to 8th or the likes. If the likely trio of West Ham (shame), Wigan and Blackpool (shame) go down then there will also be a bunch of good players who I assume the midtable teams will look to feast on. Parker, Hitzelsperger, Noble, Upson, Green, Obinna, Cole, Keane from West Ham, Rodallega, N'Zogbia, Gohouri, Caldwell, Figueroa, McCarthy, Watson from Wigan and Adam and 1-2 others (personally I think other than Adam, Blackpool are stonger as a unit than as individuals), etc. QPR also have spending power.

I think we'll see A LOT of transfer activity this time around.

That is all.

I'm interested to see who they sign. Arry said they had already two "blow your mind" signings lined up......

Its amazing how every season when there is 2-3 games to go, players from bottom teams suddenly realize that they might not get the same salary next year and start playing like a world class team.

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long

Paul Robinson did NOT make intentional contact with Chicarito. The player did NOT attempt to get out of the GK's way...he had more than enough time to jump over Robinson. I feel sorry for Blackburn.....they're in a relegation fight and should be disappointed by the way they were treated.

Manchester United wins the penalty and the league with the referee's assistance. I know ManU supporters will not like the way it sounds but this is not the first time AND IT WON'T be the last time that they get more than their fair share of luck.

Technology! The Man Utd luck factor is one frustrating one specially when you are the most unlucky one. The team that had been saved by the crossbar most= MU and the team who hit the crossbar most= Arsenal.

I demand evidence. Thats total BS.

That was a penalty. It was a very unnecessary and stupid move by Robinson. Hernandez was going nowhere and Robinson shouldn't have attempted getting to him.

Right so after the referees ended any hopes Tottenham had of 4th place and gave Chelsea a chance for first, ya'll are going to be talking about how United benefits from questionable calls? Every team gets those kinds of calls through the season.

poet: its not Arsenal's lack of luck that's the problem, its their experience and skill at the back. If you scored all those crossbars you still wouldn't win the league.

according to this we should be 10 points above you had all the woodwork rattles counted. This includes all the shots by everyone counted as goals.

And Help yes we have been unlucky more often rather than lucky...

Anyways it's no big deal as u say its our inexperienced defense no doubt. Specially set-pieces because we have the best defensive record in open play.

Its frustrating to be an Arsenal fan really. Few days ago I read Samba was close to joining us. Then after sometime I switched on the TV and watched the last moments of the Blackburn vs West Ham game. Samba was unbeatable and denied a 110% sure goal!........agony

Anyway Help who would you prefer between Samba and Cahill for Arsenal? Consider Koscienly's progress and also everything else about Arsenal

Exciting stuff at the bottom. 5 teams at the bottom and only a point separating them. West Ham choked yet again after leading 2-0.

West Ham fans suffered because of their stupid coach and specially the owners. un*******believable! look at the squad. What would go wrong if they had signed a defender and a midfielder other than all the strikers around the world?

Anyways sympathy apart bring us Parker Wenger and spend a little bit risky if possible. If we don't win something significant next term and if we perform like relegation struggling teams at crucial points we will absolutely officially be a CRISIS club
