I see Jelavić is continuing in good light, another great match with 2 goals against Fulham. He is now with 10 goals in 12 matches. With this kinda Jelavić at EURO we shall be very optimistic.

Too bad Arsenal dropped points against Stoke. Ah, it could have ended even without that 1 point.

You're still ok.

Now all we need is for Tottenham to drop one single point, and then we make fourth if we win our remaining games.

Would be awesome, Tottenham face Villa and Bolton away and Blackburn and Fulham at home for their remaining games. I'm hoping Bolton will play their asses off and beat them but I'm worried that we're gonna drop points, which we simply can't afford to. If we win tomorrow, and beat Newcastle on wednesday, we'll be 5th, 2 points off Arsenal in 3rd with 2 matches left to play, one of them being Anfield. If Arsenal lose one of their remaining 2 games (unlikely), and Spurs drop points in one of their remaining 4 games, and we win all of our matches, we'll be 3rd. Please, please, please make it happen.

Well 2nd place in your group is pretty much assumed

Considering their recent form I definitely fancy Tottenham to drop points. In fact, I suspect they will drop four or more, so I think we will finish fourth even if we dont win at Anfield, which will be difficult as that game is right after the FA cup final and we have struggled against Liverpool in recent times.

Would be surprised if Arsenal lose a game, but here's hoping. Finishing 3rd after the season we've had, plus making both major finals, would be PHENOMENAL.

By the way I have been ON FIRE with predictions lately so you should all listen to me.

Lets see if Chelsea win the Champions League, fail to qualify for the next one, and get the same favor that Liverpool got after their CL win.

They'll get the spot ahead of the 4th place team. That's been confirmed. I think Liverpool were granted a spot in the first qualifying phase.

Yup. Imagine if Newcastle did make fourth place and qualify for the CL for the first time in 10 years, only to get their place taken away (H)

Feeling ambivalent about Chelsea right now. Whilst I hope Bayern crushes you (even if you finish 4th :D), you better demolish the racists two weeks before!

Torres hat trick please.

that Liverpool decision was disgraceful for the precedent it set (modifying qualification rules after the fact) ... but at least it sorted out the issue of Champions getting an automatic berth to defend their title, which should always be the case (and senseless that it isn't for the World Cup, EUROs, etc.) ...

Actually I thought it was cool. Didn't some Irish team offer to play Liverpool for their spot? Good for both clubs IMO. I think forcing the local FA to make a decision is a cop out by UEFA. They should either ask for volunteers who want to play the European Champions at the beginning of the Comp (no end to those I bet), or give an extra place to the champion like they used to do back in the European Cup (I think).

A team that wins the CL should definitely get a spot to defend their title, but at the same time depriving the team finishing fourth of a place is just as crazy. Especially given how hard it is in the Prem for other teams to get up there higher than fifth.

Thought the outcome in 2005 was right. UEFA in common sense shocker. Guess we can't have that all the time.

YEAH! Southampton back in the Premier League, back-to-back promotions! Took me 3 season on fm11, so he's ahead of the game. Now all he needs to do is win the CL a year earlier than I did...

Yeah, congrats - Southampton, for me you belong to the EPL and it's been awkward few years without you, lol.
