The Strokes get no respect around here. One of my friends hates them, and i just cant understand it. Its a great band.

The Strokes dont even deserve to be rated. Their lead-singer not only looks as if he's about to fall asleep all the time, he also sounds like it.

One band that definitely deserves credit for being one of the most original, creative and mind-blowing bands ever is Faith No More. Mike Patton is a GOD.

Alexisonfire their music is amazing, some say the guy screaming kills the whole band, but you get used to it after a while and realize that it mixes in well with the bass

KMFDM maybe? Everybodys talking about Rammstein but no one mentions KMFDM, although Rammstein are just KMFDM's copycats...

Copycats? No way. I mean, yes, both bands use industrial elements, but they differentiate musically. I like KMFDM, but they're so corny. A bunch of Rivethead wannabes is what they are.

All these bands got a fairly large amount of fans yet they're not recognized by the public in general. Not that I care, the public in general are morons.

not at all in Europe. Especially Tool which is a cult band around here.

Nine Inch Nails case probably yes, as tickets to their gigs in the UK this year sold out in less than 10minutes.

Soundgarden case is abnormal. Arguably the most talented band to come out of the grunge phenomenom, yet they never sold as much as Pearl Jam. Hell even Nirvana never sold as much as Pearl Jam.

None of them is known whatsoever in Portugal though, we're probably the most tasteless people around concerning music.

Well I would never put the Strokes as underrated in this neck of the woods. For awhile there you couldn't walk into a club/ pub/ shop without hearing their ******* noise blaring at you, and if that wasn't enough their videos were on high rotation on the tv and their album being advertised every five minutes and the newspapers full of them and then to top it all off they had to come and play some ******* converts here as well. Bastards. And all this for a band so severely lacking in originality that I had to concur with Baudrillards assertion that we are now in the age of hyperreality where only copies exist as originals.

Them and that ******* band the Killers and add to them A simple ******* Plan. Why can't they all go off and moan about their comfotable middle class lives to their therapists or something?

tool is definitely underrated. it seems like every time a song of theirs is played on the radio, people will call in and say they love the band, and end the sentence with "... and who is this?" they definitely do not get the fan base and respect they deserve.
