Wow, I knew Montpelier were challenging in France but didnt think they would actually win it. Now they are in the driving seat!

SPL is now actually not even worth saying how worthless it is.

----

Championship is over (except for the playoffs)...

Promoted Automatically: Reading (winners), Southampton
Playoffs: West Ham, Birmingham, Blackpool, Cardiff
Relegated: Portsmouth*, Coventry, Doncaster

*Portsmouth fined 10 pts (would have stayed up without the fine)

Playoffs (home and away, first team to play home leg first):

Cardiff vs West Ham
Blackpool vs Birmingham

Come on Blackpool!

The situation is insane for Romania:

We have Dinamo - U Cluj, Dinamo - CFR, Steaua - Dinamo, Rapid - Steaua, CFR - Steaua ahead. Every team from the 1st place to the 5th might clinch it. The relegation battle is fierce also.
The problem here is we don't know if this battle is 100% correct or else.

PSG have the millions and sacked their manager during the Winter break when they were first.

Would be nice to see Montpellier win it. They've been pretty consistent since coming up.

Motherwell in the CL? My lord that's going to be interesting... not for Motherwell though. What's the highest previous aggregate win?

Montpellier are so nearly French Champs. They will lose their entire team this summer.

Fortuna Dusseldorf look set to win their Promotion/Relegation playoff with Hertha Berlin. They won 2-1 on Thursday in Berlin, and host the second leg Tuesday. They've been in the 4th Tier more recently than the Bundesliga. They also pulled a Man City back in the 90s

1989–1992 Bundesliga (1st tier)
1992–1993 2. Bundesliga (2nd tier)
1993–1994 Oberliga Nordrhein (3rd tier) – Champions: 1994
1994–1995 2. Bundesliga (2nd tier)
1995–1997 Bundesliga (1st tier)

Anyway, the more teams from the Rhein-Ruhr, the better. Already have Leverkusen, Schalke, Dortmund, and Gladbach.

Koln were relegated by Bayern on the last match day. Would have been epic if Koln had to play Dusseldorf in the Relegation Playoffs as they are 27 miles apart.

they host #3 Lille, who are mathematically not out of the title race ... while #2 PSG host #5 Rennes, who haven't yet secured Europa ... there could easily be a twist ... I'm obviously cheering for Carletto and Leonardo to pull it off ...

Montpellier aren't champions yet, if PSG wins their final match they will need at least a point away at Auxerre to clinch it.

I'm definitely rooting for them, today's last gasp win was insane! Rémi must be thrilled (H)

AZ didn't finish 2nd, they finished 4th. Feyenoord are second, PSV third.

Ah well, what matters is the first place ofcourse. :33vff3o:

1 minute left in stoppage time, with the game 2-2, 4-3 on aggregate for Dusseldorf, their fans storm the pitch. Players are shuttled to the locker room. Looks like they are going to come back and play out the final minute. Would be insane if they had to forfeit the game and lose their place in next season's Bundesliga. More insane if Hertha gets the winner here. Find a stream now if you can.

EDIT: Dusseldorf go up! Check out this stoppage time though
