Yeah, the best team lost. Hopefully we'll see a new manager at Chelsea next season :)

I cannot see how Abramovich can keep him if they have had a fallen out. Goodbye Mourinho - your last trophy!!! :clapwap:

i am gutted as you guyz.... chelsea were on the backfoot the whole of extra time but that is football. I would never say chelsea deserved it. Neither team deserved it. Both were negative.

No one deserved the cup today, both were too cautious, but hey that's football, the boys were tired, Ronaldo just wandered around, I guess his tank was empty after a brilliant season, we will be back next season, hopefully matured further

Backfoot or not, our midfield has difficulty winning tackles. Most of our possession is gained from (effective) closing down, but sometimes that is simply not enough. We need that hard tackler to allow our passing guys (Scholes/Carrick) to concentrate of positive football.

Starting XI
I am really gutted. The fact Drogba scored with 4 minutes left is even worse. But hey at the biggining at the season I would have said I would be happy with a league title. Never mind FA Cup Final and CL semifinal. Been a great season.

Focking HELLLLLL what luck Chelsea had!
If Giggsy would've slided that ball in after the assist from Rooney it was United with the Cup and not Chelsea but they have Drogba one of the best strikers in the world. United should've finished them off before there was plenty opportunity :( Too bad I guess this means Chelsea and United again for the Charity Shield right??

Hargreaves is set to join United after Bayern agreed to a deal in the area of 17 million

You are 2 posts too late, bro :ewan:
But yeah, he's coming and he's been coming for a year now. Sorry, Hendrik, you fought hard for him but at the end of the day, we all knew that his days at Bayern were numbered.

And i honestly hope that Ferguson doesn't play this 4-5-1 because its the worst tactic ever for this United team. Maybe the best for a team with Ruud in it, but not for us. I have not seen a single game this season where we played this tactic and controlled anything. Ferguson is amazing at all the footballing matters, except this one glitch he has. Getting Hargreaves and another forward, should prevent Fergie from picking this tactic.

Payaah, i really don't see Ferguson using Scholes, Hargreaves and Carrick in one game too many times. I'm sure there will be some kind of rotational system, which will give Scholesy enough rest to perform well at the top for at least 3-4 more years. Today he was the best player on the pitch.

perfectly put. and anyways, rooney cant win aerial challenges anyways. i would like to see the 4-4-1-1 back. with rooney given the free role. it would suit him perfectly.

now we should we able to rest scholes in physical away games ( west ham, wigan) and so forth.

Nah. (H) The main reasons he was sold were because he couldn't stay healthy for two games in a row (he played 25 games in the past two seasons) and he doesn't complement van Bommel. I don't think he would've been sold if he had played a great season.

But anyway, treat him well, he's a nice guy and a hard worker, he can really improve your team as long as he stays injury free. He will add depth to Man United's quad. His primary positions are RM and DM but he can also get the job done as a fullback. He'll be a much better utility man than O'Shea.

Oh, and I hope you don't mind if the cash ends up in Chelsea's pocket.

I wonder where hargreaves will play, I think he should get some gametime at RB seeing as Neville is becoming incredibly injury prone, but he can play on both wings as well as DM, I remember he was Englands starting Left winger at WC 2002.
I guess we will playing a 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation though to fit in Scholes and Carrick.
