Nah. (H) The main reasons he was sold were because he couldn't stay healthy for two games in a row (he played 25 games in the past two seasons) and he doesn't complement van Bommel. I don't think he would've been sold if he had played a great season.

But anyway, treat him well, he's a nice guy and a hard worker, he can really improve your team as long as he stays injury free. He will add depth to Man United's quad. His primary positions are RM and DM but he can also get the job done as a fullback. He'll be a much better utility man than O'Shea.

Oh, and I hope you don't mind if the cash ends up in Chelsea's pocket.

So what happened to him after Christmas, i thought he was due back at the start of January, but never came back?

No, we don't mind Chelsea getting the money, its gonna be a pocket change increase for them anyways, so who cares.

We are interested in Heerenveen's Afonso Alves according to the media here in Holland

SAF was watching the game AZ-Ajax today in Alkmaar with a ManU delegation (live) to see Klaas Jan Huntelaar in action, the story goes that he's preparing a bid for 12m pounds (too little if you ask me) so it could well be that Huntelaar is coming to Manchester soon. I hope not cause I don't want to lose him for Ajax but if he goes to another team then please let it be ManUtd!

He did. He played the CL matches and 9 league games, then from mid April on he missed the rest of the games due to an inflamed knee.

He has to leave sooner or later for the sake of his career and the Dutch national team.

Man U are apparantly considering an £8 Million bid for Craig Gordon. This wouldnt be a worthwhile signing in my opinion when we have Kuzchack and Foster as future number 1's.

I doubt we'll be buying Gordon, but we haven't completed the permanent signing of Kuszczak just yet, so for now he is still a Brom player.

surely fergie has to buy a striker... we are lacking in that department.

we'll have to if fergie still thinks he can land the champs league with 4-5-1 counter-attacking style.

And i have just read that apparantly Edwin Van Der Saw is going to be dropped as first choice GK for next season in place for Ben Foster.

A good move if its true!

No thanks, be happy to see the back of him. Sends chills down me spine every time a cross comes in.

I think the fact that Kuszczak is Poland's third choice keeper say enough, I think we'll stick with VDS and Foster as 1 & 2 for next season, no need to waste money on another keeper.

What? are u trying to say Ben Foster isnt good enough to be number 1?

No he is not. He had a pretty good season at Watford. That was Watford, people don't expect much at Watford. At Old Trafford is so much different. You have to have great skill and immense experience to be good at United, unless you are Cassillas or Cech and you play like a 35 year old keeper at the age of 20.

I will not consider Foster as a current best number one choice, until he is tested properly, in a game where you have to have so much more than just skill.

And you are underrating VDS a lot, he saved us so many times this season and was almost as influential as Cristiano in winning this season's titles. If not for him games like Liverpool and Fulham away would be lost, instead of won. The guy has been outstanding for 2 seasons. Out of all the goals conceeded by him maybe 3 or 4 were his mistakes, but looking at the previous keepers before Schmeichel, they would have this 3 or 4 mistakes every 10 games. If anything i'm sad that this guy didn't join us earlier because he has to be considered alongside Ronaldo, Scholes and Vidic as this season's heros.

I Have to agree with help about vds. But inspite saying that Foster and Vds will be fighting for there spot. Bit like how howard and Carroll were. I'm sure SAF will even encourage it to get the best out of them.

Being a goalkeeper myself, I've been watching a lot of Foster. I have to say in Foster, we've got another potential Schmeichel on our books. He's brave, great at spreading himself in front of the opposition, great with crosses and a fantastic distributor of the ball. He's got it all. He played the majority of United's pre-season games last year and was exceptional in them all. I do believe he has the temperament and firmly believe he should be no. 1 next year. Van der Sar has been great but recently he's been a bit dodgy. Lack of competition for your place will do that. I like Kuszczak - great shotstopper but very suspect on crosses - but don't think he should be no.1.

With Hargeaves coming in, United will still play a 4-4-2. It's a squad game and everyone will play their part. Hargreaves is vital for games such as Chelsea, Liverpool etc where the midfields are physical and strong. No-one will lose their place outright, but rotation will be more prominent next year. Bigger squads mean more competition anyway, which can only be good.

We also need another striker and a left-sided player. Richardson is crap. Please, please, please Fergie give Rossi a chance. I've seen a lot of him in the reserves and feel he is one of the most technically gifted players at the club. He's also almost single-handedly saved Parma from relegation. Now don't shoot me down, but I feel on a free, Viduka would be a great signing short-term. Only 30 and great ability to score goals. With the service we provide, he could score 20 goals. On top of that, he'd assist quite a few. Otherwise, we need a bit of pace. I think Saha should go, simply cos he's too injury prone. Someone like Huntelaar would be great or even Owen.

Left-sided player should be Bale. He's great going forward and a dead-ball specialist. Great dribbler of the ball and could even end up as a left winger. Good thing about that is that with Evra (who will be fist choice next year), they could interchange as each other goes forward.

firstly i think kuzshack is not good enough. Ben foster is the perfect quality replacement for VDS. He should be good enough for manutd. After all he has came up with outstanding saves playing behind a watford defense. Saved them on many occasions from embarrasement.

As for strikers... i think we need a pacey striker. Our attack is built on speed. I remember with saha earlier part of the season, we were just unstoppable on counter attacks.
