The Hargreaves case is not closed yet.

Owen Hargreaves will today attempt to put his case for a move to Manchester United after Bayern Munich threatened to appeal to Fifa to force the Old Trafford club to end their pursuit of the England midfielder. Hargreaves and his advisors have arranged a press briefing in Munich this afternoon at which he is expected to both demand a move and criticise his current employers' persistent refusal to sanction one.

It's really getting out of hand now. Bayern fined Hargreaves €25000 for talking about his desire to move to Manchester in public. On the weekend Hoeness insulted him in front of the whole team, he said Owen is prostituting himself to Man United.

All that sounds pretty harsh. I thought he'd stay quiet. I think 20 million pounds would do to convince our board to let him go. And maybe some kind of a gentleman's agreement concerning Tevez. (H)

Help?

The Tevez situation could really play out well. It could force Bayern to sell Owen so that they could fund Tevez transfer.

Or just they keep Owen and we get Tevez, afterall our defense is strong enough to do the tackling at the back, it was the creativity in midfield that was ****ed up last season, which should be solved now by Carrick.

thats not good calling a player a prostitute in front on the whole team. he shud maybe have a bust-up and that could clear a way for a move. as for tevez his heart lies at manchester united

Told ya so, the way Bayern are trying to solve this is only forcing Owen to take action. Maybe SAF was waiting for this to happen

Oh please... ive probably seen 100x more bundesliga matches than you. I bet you were asking for Owens head before the WC.. and now that he played a few decent matches you want him on your team. And please take that american football comment and shove it up your ass. You probably dont have a clue about anything outside the premiership anyway.

the american football was a joke if u didnt get it...
i do follow other leagues too...but not that much...
as for the england team before the world cup, the only head i wanted was sven's and walcott's the rest were ok...
and with owen, well...anyone out there can improve and up their game, and he did that during the world cup and the greece friendly, and with united current status, it makes perfect sense to go after him, so why not?

anyways, 1st there was park...now its tevez!!

we are going to pounce for a cheap vicente deal. he is leaving valencia and he is perfect replacement for giggs.

a quote from another site:
"Just been down at United's training ground and have seen Fernando Torres leaving, local viewers had said he had been in manchester for his medical and the fee was £26.6m. Anyone in manchester can pop down there to confirm. you heard it here first!!"

odds that happened: 5-95.

Although I am hoping that the Torres rumour is true, it sounds like bollocks to me, a transfer like this is impossible to keep quiet like this

Vicente would be cool, but I doubt it, cause he is still one of the biggest prospects of the club and with maybe Joaquin heading to Valencia they would have one of the best wingplayers in Europe

Well all that prostitute talk has obviously riled Mr. Hargreaves. This from bbc.co. uk:

Hargreaves 'to make Bayern plea'

Owen Hargreaves wants to join Man Utd

Owen Hargreaves will reportedly hold a news conference on Wednesday to say he wants to leave Bayern Munich.

According to reports, the 25-year-old will criticise the German club for standing in the way of his move to Manchester United.

Relations between the two clubs soured on Tuesday when Bayern threatened to report United for breaching Fifa rules with their pursuit of Hargreaves.

The England international's Bayern contract runs until 2010.

And Bayern are particularly keen for him to honour that after losing Michael Ballack to Chelsea over the summer.

United are thought to be prepared to offer up to £17m for Hargreaves, whose stock rose with some impressive performances at the World Cup.

But Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness said: "Bayern Munich will never be taken for a ride and become weak at the knees as soon as a certain level of money is mentioned."

Its getting closer, i can almost smell it..

When Madrid are going to come back in for Roanldo next summer, will you tell him he has to honor his contract? :read:

What are you comparing on mate? Ronaldo wanted out but he was convinced to stay by Sir Alex and Sir Bobby and he did eventually made up his mind to do so.In doing so,he will honour his contract no matter what.In Hargreaves's case, its totally different, the player wants out but the club dosent want to let him go.This is againts the players will. Its not like he is going out for free,we are going to pay an overrated sum for him,I believe.I dont think any player who wants to get out of the club will whole heartedly play on if he isnt allowed to move.Have you read about Willy Gallas or Ashley Cole mate? (:/)

Ronaldo wasn't happy with the whole getting Rooney send off thing, and because of that he wanted to leave, when SAF and co. assured him that he would be protected from everything he decided to stay. Owen clearly wants to join us, because he feels that Man U is a step higher in his career
