25 million euros for each...holy **** that is expensive but if they turn out to be great as they are proposed to do so than it will be worth every penny of the transfer. Kind fo reminds me of the Ramos deal, he cost a ****load and was very young but he is worth every penny when I look at it. Hopefully the 2 settle in for you guys.

Also why do you guys want another striker? Rossi would do it I think, I have seen some games of his for Parma and he does a good job....better that you save your money and not buy Torres.

OMG!!!! What the hell is happening. I fell asleep and woke up way to early, because I knew I missed something. A buddy of mine sent me a text message with that we've got both Nani AND Anderson, I thought he was winding me up, but I can't believe it, normally we wait till the dying minutes of a transfer window and finally mess it up, but instead we got two great talents in one swoop in the beginning of the window. And on top of that we are getting Hargreaves two in the next few days, WOW! WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING!!! I bet Mourinho is eating his shorts now, haha. Thank you SAF and co. very good purchases, I hope they turn out well for us. Now Ronaldo has two buddies which he can invent new skills with, haha, great players, ******* AMAZING!!!

I just woke up and showered and I'm overwhelmed by the news. They will get better and become world class with the world class players among them. What a total revamp.

What a sweet ******* swoop. I hope they will go the Ronaldo direction rather than the Kleberson direction.

But sh1t man, it's pretty damn amazing to have stacked up all these fantastic young stars.

I hope our next order of business would be selling Richardson. And oh yeah, Heinze can buy out his contract to move to another club. I read that somewhere.

Certainly didn't expect Anderson to come on board. This is a nice surprise after a good night sleep. Now that left to be done is to get a big name striker and we're done.

Help?

We have to sell somebody for a big sum first before spending anymore. I mean 65 million pounds don't grow on trees, even if we won the EPL and then get a lot from TV revenue.

We spent around 55 million pounds in a week on 3 players, damn, well now we can't say anything about Chelsea buying the title though.

United splash £31m on whizkids

By IAN McGARRY
May 31, 2007

MANCHESTER UNITED splashed out an amazing £31million on two superkids yesterday.

The Premiership champions signed Brazilian Anderson, 19, for £17m from Porto and Sporting Lisbon’s Nani, 20, for £14m.

A United statement read: “Terms are agreed with both players and an announcement will take place once a medical and other procedures are done.”

A day of drama started when United No 2 Carlos Queiroz and chief executive David Gill met with Sporting directors yesterday morning and offered £10m for Portuguese winger Nani, 20.

The Old Trafford contingent then left for Porto believing they had all but agreed the transfer.

They went on to complete the move for striker Anderson, 19.

United then learned Sporting met with Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli three hours after they had left.

Spurs believed they had nicked Nani with a bid which equalled his buy-out clause of £14m.

But, crucially, Nani’s agent, Jorge Mendes, did not meet with Comolli.

Mendes is also Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent and, coincidentally, also represents Anderson.

Mendes is believed to have travelled to Porto to complete the Anderson deal. Porto announced the £17m fee to the Stock Exchange. But United would not be beaten on Nani, either.

After learning of Spurs’ bid, they matched the offer and a deal was struck.

Nani had made it clear he would only sign for the Old Trafford club.

Hitman Anderson has been one of the most sought-after young talents since he was crowned player of the tournament in the 2005 World Under-17 Championships.

He was recently named in Brazil’s preliminary squad for this summer’s Copa America — but not tomorrow’s friendly with England at Wembley.

United manager Alex Ferguson also expects to wrap up the signing of Bayern Munich’s England midfielder Owen Hargreaves, 26, this weekend for £17m.

This would take Fergie’s summer spree to £48m — and he still wants to sign another striker.
Sources close to Fergie say he will play a 4-2-3-1 formation next season — using Ronaldo, Anderson and Nani as his three attacking midfielders behind Wayne Rooney.

oh hell yeah... i am sooo excited. Hope the 2 youngsters dont become flops and adapt to the premiership. They have bags of potential. But our squad is way too big at the moment...someone has gotta leave. I would like to see pique and rossi back to the team.

I'm really shocked by these signings, Anderson in particular looks exiciting. I think next seasons squad is going to be radically different to this seasons though, I don't think anyone would have guessed this would happen.

What are the chances of Anderson getting a work permit though, he is obviously not a regular for Brazil so won't qualify through that.

he has a great change of getting a work permit because he will play for brazil in copa america and he is an exceptional talent so i think he can make it,, he is way bettter that kalou so i hope we will get them.

I think a player has to play 70% of his countries internationals in the last year to automatically qualify, but there are exemptions though hopefully he can gain one.

The 19-year-old Brazilian will join United subject to medicals and a work-permit - and although he does not qualify automatically for a permit under UK rules, he is almost certain to gain the required permissions on appeal.
