van Gaal has struggled when managing teams with a lot of stars and ego. Like Holland 2002 and second spell at Barcelona. But Man Utd has no ego except for Rooney, and no stars except for a few.

Would be interesting to see how the Rooney-van Gaal relationship will go. Wouldn't be surprised if van Gaal gets rid of him.

Make America Great Again
Bro, Kagawa, Mata, and RvP all have huuuuuuge egos. Not to mention all the young players who are not so young anymore like Jones and Smalling who will want to be officially named as first team players.

Hiddink's second era picks up pretty much where van Gaal's second era ended:
Cillessen, Vorm, Krul, Zoet;

Blind, de Vrij, Janmaat, Martins Indi, Pieters, van der Wiel, Veltman, Verhaegh, Vlaar;

Clasie, Nigel de Jong, Fer, Sneijder, van der Vaart, Wijnaldum;

Depay, Huntelaar, Kuyt, Lens, Robben, van Persie
surprising not to see de Guzmán called up ... but anyway, they'll give Conte an interesting test ...

The Von Trapps
^ even more surprised now ... de Guzmán not only fit, but scores the winner in the 95th minute for his new club Napoli ...

How wrong was I. van Gaal doesn't get rid of him; he makes him captain and therefore makes him "undroppable".

Rooney must have professed the "Jari Litmanen dream" to van Gaal, as I suggested he do, and is thus reaping the rewards ...

Their current squad is very weak other than few players ... LVG team simply overachieved in WC2014 ...
