i got letters from the b@stards at optimum online telling me that im not allowed to upload all the files, so i stopped using it. im pretty sure of this but i want to be 100%: there arent any bittorrent clients that stop the uploading are there?

I'm d/l a file now that has no seeds, 45% complete. It's still going cuz the peer is uploading and is waiting for a seed to finish their d/l. For those who don't know what's a seed, it's someone who has the whole file and they share with us peers. It's probably some peers who managed to get the full file, but they turn off the BT client. Leave your client on, eventually someone will seed the file and give you the parts you need.

Use TorrentSpy, which shows you how many people are seeding (uploading the complete file) and leeching (downloading and uploading the part they have finished) so you can see if the torrent you want to download is being seeded so you can get the full file.

Haha...are you kidding?

It all depends in how popular the file is, like for example. The other day i was downloading the new Doom 3 Trailer at 300 kb/s right when it was released, and that tv show "The Grid" at around 370 kb/s the day after it aired. ;)

As for older files, you should get around 30 - 50 kb/s.

I'm downloading the ajax-pao game if anyone has it please seed it (although I doubt anyone here actually does, but it's worth asking anyways).

Hey shiryu, I'm fairly new with the bt clients which is probably the best one you've used so far? (unless if there all about the same).

I use Bit Tornado. It has been working pretty well, so i haven't felt the need to change.

The sig it's meant to be weird. Excellent movie thought. ;)

Shuryu, i agree Bittorrnado is best. i advise you to randomize your ports, and also change the range if you heaven't done so, increases speed greatly. i get constant 300 Kbs now.
