japanese people have changed a lot.

So many things wrong with this! Where to start:
a. She's not Japanese - look at her eyes and cheekbones.
b. She does not speak Japanese as her native language. Which means that she has learned it from a book or another human being has taught (spoon fed it to) her. That makes it very hard for native speakers of the language* to take her seriously. Instead, they are most likely deriding her for her lack of genuinity** and feeble attempt at portraying herself in a positive light compared to them (i.e.she is attempting to be one of them, while it is plainly obvious that IN FACT she is really not one of them and never will be). Overall, they can't take her seriously because she is trying to fake being Japanese and is putting them down. Quite frankly, non-Japanese people should be offended at her arrogance.
c. She is wearing Yoga pants: OK, time for me to take a deep breath before I start on this one.

Now, imagine this:
Background:
You are at the entrance of the local supermarket. You are about to go in to buy some groceries, etc. You see the wife of a good friend of yours. Your and their family have gathered on numerous prior occasions, for a meal. The wife is wearing a light sweatshirt***, an armless vest****, white running shoes and Yoga pants. You have not seen the wife in yoga pants before.

The Situation
She is entering the supermarket just after you and naturally you recognize her and say Hello. Your attention is directed to the obscenely tight-fitting yoga pants. After about 30 seconds of chit-chat about the status of your life and also of her family's, you feel obligated to point out that a married woman should not be dressed inappropriately, as results from donning yoga pants, unless they (she) has just come from Yoga.

The awkward Question:
You ask her whether she just came from yoga, pilates (I've always wondered if this was named after the Greek perfectionist Joseph Pilates*****???) or the local gymnasium/recreation center. In all of these cases, though, a decent human being (man OR woman) would have made a quick detour to his/her home to change into decent outerwear before being seen in a public place such as the supermarket. Her response to the question is an uncomfortable "No!" Your response "Oh, it just seemed to me like you had been involved in some physical activity." is not accepted by her (she thinks you were staring at her, which you weren't).

Outcome:
You go your separate ways in the supermarket after an awkward end to the conversation. Subsequent engagements between yours and her families are uncomfortable, with her (silently) citing the supermarket incident.

Resolution:
Yoga pants are NOT appropriate for decent, well-mannered human beings. The Japanese are known for wearing skirts, especially the ones in comic books and on cartoon shows. I am talking about women here - this is not the countryside in Scotland. They don't wear Yoga pants, which are inappropriate for a woman.

d. She looks clueless and is trying to smile to make up for it. It is clear that someone has told her exactly what to say and when to say it. That only adds to her level of fakeness, which I am SURE is not accepted in a society that prides itself on its Magnetic Levitation****** trains (the epitome of ingenuity and reality - non-fake).

*in this case, those people are Japonais.

I still could not agree with newbie more on the subject of yoga pants. Consistently, men in Canada would lean over to me and say slyly 'thank God for Lululemon', but I dont find it sexy at all, just crass, especially when paired with trainers/runners as it almost always is. I strongly oppose the wearing of any sort of sportswear other than for actually participating in physical activity/sport, and yoga pants are among the worst repeat offenders. I once knew a woman who went to work in yoga pants and pink runners, it is a sad reflection of modern society that this is not only considered acceptable but considered sexy.

Yoga pants are tight and if a chick has an acceptable ass she looks good in tight pants. So yoga pants are nice. They also allow the viewer to see the ass jiggles which are quite good too.

I like yoga pants, but I much prefer tights that aren't sportswear, like disco pants.

We had this discussion previously. I think being sportswear takes away from it. You feel as if you shouldn't be checking out a girl in yoga pants, as she is wearing them because she's just come from the gym or whatever, where as disco pants she's asking to be checked out.

Also, there is no way in the world that girl is wearing yoga pants. They're black jeans or similar. Not even that tight, look at them wrinkle and bunch on the lower part of her knee.

The modern woman needs to ______ herself by wearing yoga pants. That's really the essence of it.

I see this discussion is still rather lively.

A nice shaped ass looks glorious in yoga pants. You're missing out.

That's not the point. It is indecent. Women who wear yoga pants do not have their priorities straight. Therein lies the essence of the problem.

If you went out looking for an indecent woman, then it is acceptable. But you won't/shouldn't expect to see such individuals walking the streets with regular people.

Shouldn't is the key word there. And right then and there is the very basis of my point.

Wearing yoga pants in public is just not appropriate, man. It is really as simple as that. You (female gender) are attracting the wrong kind of attention to yourself.

Use some brains!!! IDIOT!
