haha, i don't know what was funnier... Ricardo+Ferreira's mistake in the goal, or the ref not seeing the handball over the line

about Liechenstein's goal, i don't think Paulo Ferreira should be blamed for it, he had everything under control, and was about to head the ball to Ricardo, who should have stayed in the box waiting for the ball...i wonder what went on Ricardo's head to rush out of the goal like that!

MISERABLE first half!!!!!!
F*ck Ricardo and Pauleta! Enough with these idiots on the NT, what the hell was Ricardo doing coming out like that in a situation where he didn't need to!? Somebody give Pauleta his 2 goals to tie Eusebio's record and get rid of him, I can't beleive how this so-called "great" striker can miss goals put on a plate for him... this is exactly the type of game where I really miss Sergio Conceicao's heart!
Thank God we still have Figo.

Firstly, congrats to Portugal make it to Germany.
I think Scholari should quit after WC 06 finals regardless his success or not to this team. He's been enough for 4 years of his duty. Personally speaking, it's a validity for a NT coach.
Portugal were so 'great NT' in the EURO 2000, even the media call it "Golden Generation" with Luis Figo, Rui Costa in their mid 20's to reach the best achievements afterwards.
I see sometimes want Portugal NT to play great football like in EURO 2000, another day, it's a different story going on.
Oh well, I wish Portugal NT all the best in the WC 06. good luck !

We are up 2-0 at Ht, two goals by Pauleta. Im pleased with our performance so far. Our midfield is working extremely well with the inclusions of Deco and Tiago. Quim has been excellent so far, two terrific saves. What else does he have to do, to get Ricardo´s spot?
Right, at least Quim makes saves. He may not be the best, but he's better than Ricardo at the moment.

As I said in another topic, Portugal was chilled out for this game...and made "showtime". What a match from Portugal, 3 awesome goals. I personally love the first one, that is class! Oh and Deco...omg...Deco can't miss WC 2006, he is the most important player of Portugal right now. And Quim, making 2 defenses in a row...owned Ricardo. Figo made a great game too. Well...the team made a great game.
And Latvia also made a good match (especially Rubins, nice player), but the pressure from Portugal was enormous.
We need to enter every game like this. With more luck, we could have made more goals.
And on to the WC 2006!

We played far better tonight. You can see Deco´s influence on the team. Our midfield was very sharp and I saw alot of great plays. Even so we should focus on the finishing. It was 3-0 but it could have been many more. Deco and Figo were excellent. Ronaldo is experiencing a bad phase, i hope he recovers his form. I was also impressed with Tiago. He worked extremely hard and was also one of the figures of the team. It was only against Latvia but i think that our performance was convincing. With Quim on Goal and Pauleta in better shape, we can do a good campaign in Germany. Now schedule some decent friendlies and give a chance to Moutinho, Manuel Fernandes or any upcoming talents that will appear this year. I would love it if Hugo Almeida had more chances in Porto and Portugal. It´s up to the coaches.
