The Potential Attribute of a player (FIFA2005)??

Guys,

Just a quick quention, what is that "Potential" attribute parametre? And how does it effect the player when the value is changed?

Note that I'm using CC2005 to edit my players' attributes.

I hope too get some quick answer too!

The higher the players potential, the more he can improve his rating in career mode. I think that if a player has, say, a potential of 51, he's not going to go anywhere...but if he has a potential of 99, he could in theory become a superstar eventually.
