Was turned off by last years game. It was closer to being a boats on tarmac sim than a F1 at that. And horrible turning AI

yeah, wasn't too big a fan of last year's game either (and turning in the rain was a joke) ... this year's overall driving experience is definitely a lot better ...

but F1 is sooo technical ... so it has been kept a bit arcadey to make it more accessible; or for people like me who don't have that much time, to just be able to jump right into race/career mode ...

I mean if it was to be closer to a true simulation, the amount of customization that has to be available for each driver to tailor each car to his/her exact driving style would overwhelm gamemakers ...

-> so, basically, give F1 2011 a go, and post your feedback here!

What's so great about it?

Best simulation single player mode made by far. It has great depth, and the gameplay is very realistic looking as well. I'm not even an NBA fan, and I'm still interested in the game.

finished behind the two Ferraris ... and yeah, Jaime Alguersuari (see above ^) rode my overtaking coattails to finish an amazing 4th ...

sitting in a Williams, I never had a chance on faster tracks ... but the 'outbreaking' tactic could definitely work on a slow circuit like the legendary Monaco! reeesult!

Actually the big thing about NBA 2k12 is that they got all the legends in the game, so there is a very large possibility that he is. Jordan's in, Bird, Magic; the only one they couldn't get was Barkley who still has some time to run on a video game licensing agreement he signed who knows how long ago. Ewing was on the Dream Team though, so I bet he's in.

I've finished L.A. Noire on PS3 - it's a pretty decent game. Different, but I'm a fan of story-driven games if you're in that kinda thing.

I've only played a couple of hours of Driver: San Francisco, but from what I've played so far it's pretty average. To be fair, I've never really liked any of the Driver series though.

I played Dragon Age 2. Great game, great graphics. Not my type, but I enjoyed playing it. Have you played Witcher 2 - Assassins of Kings?

I did, but didn't enjoy it quite as DA.

For me Witcher has great graphics and ambient, but fighting style is very bad. And even for medium settings you need crazy specs.

Assassins Creed have amazing fighting style, very dynamic. Can't wait for Revelations! Old and experienced Ezio. I watched videos of gameplays and trailers, it should be good!

I'm getting my ass handed to me constantly on FIFA, a break is in order.

I'm leaning heavily to getting Arkham City, next week or so, it looks like it is worth the hype. those F1 pictures look awesome, I get bored of 2K easily...
