Yes that was an awesome match by both sides, obviously Barça is much better than Villarreal but as Argvega post Arsenal at the emirates attack Barça and beat us. Anyway, everyone is free to play in their style against us.

Help?

Yea man I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying that you can't beat Barca with their own game, unless you get some amazing luck. Your best chance of beating them is by basically parking the bus and hoping for a breakthrough. If you play their game, you will leave lots of holes and the trio of Xavi-Iniesta-Messi will pick you apart. These three guys can take a lower division team and make them La Liga title challengers. There is nobody out there this season that plays better than them in midfield.

I was kind of rooting for Man Utd to win the CL when the semis draw was made, and now I'm definitely rooting for them. I didn't see any of the press conferences but I reckon José said something about the ref and Pep acted like Pepe was actually fairly sent off. The same thing happened against Chelsea, didn't it? They were clearly robbed and then a great goal by Iniesta kind of "erased" the biased refereeing? And now Pepe gets wrongly sent off and Messi goes a good 15/20yards unchallenged in the area where Pepe should've been, scores a good goal and it somehow it makes it "erase" the unfairness of the sending off. As if, once again, somehow the great tiki-taka should be rewarded even against the rules. "tiki-taka" is the reason americans don't really like football; Barça's last 20yards are great because of Messi, other than that their short range passing and positioning is very good because they have technically gifted players. I for once prefer styles like that of Porto, Arsenal, even Man Utd.

And this is someone who actually prefers Barcelona over Real Madrid talking.

If Dani Alves didn't take his leg out of there he would probably have no leg by now. How can that be a wrong sent off?

Does that justify his show off? No. It's still a red card.

Wait, what? I honestly didn't read the comments or the news, so I didn't know the sending off was open to discussion. Do you guys think it was fair? F*ck me.

Pepe makes contact with the ball, so Alves' kick bounces his foot back. I'm guessing Alves really was in pain after that. Despite Pepe not making contact, his play was dangerous as hell, so I could see it as a yellow or a red. More to the point, it is understandable that the ref would see it as worth of a red card without the benefit of instant replay.

Either way, I find it hard to sympathize with a team whose game plan with 11 men was to allow as little football to be played as possible. You can say it is the best way to beat Barcelona, but that does not make it respectable. Can you imagine being a Madrid fan and paying god-knows-what to see your team play in the semifinals of the Champions League, only to see them destroy any offensive play on either end?

Furthermore, Mourinho's post-match comments are pathetic. Talk about a sore loser. Among his comments:

  1. "We are already eliminated. Sometimes it disgusts me to be in this world" (says the famous millionaire)
  2. "We have to go to Barcelona with our pride, and without Pepe who did nothing, and without Ramos who did nothing." (He can complain about the red, but to say neither did anything? Come on)
  3. "If we score early in Barcelona, they will kill us." (???)
  4. "UEFA doesn't let any team play against Barcelona. Maybe it is because they are sponsored by UNICEF."
  5. "We could have played for three hours and the match would have stayed 0-0"
  6. "[Pep] won a Champions League that I would have been embarassed by because of the scandal in Stamford Bridge, and if they win it this year it will be because of the scandal in the Bernabeu" (why drag that sh*t up?)
How are Mourinho's press conferences so respected when he does nothing but complain, make excuses, and spew slander.

I totally agree...
even football pundits and more fags end up writing the same line " barcelona were out to win..madrid defended"
but they always tend to forget that DEFENDING is PART OF THE GAME...its a tactic...

Barcelona have by far been the most ill mannered and pathetic playacting team since 4 seasons...and the worst thing is...year by year, it increases...despite having the most amazing players who can win a game by normal play too..

Pepe's challenge was at the very least a yellow card, and Sergio Ramos' yellow card was valid.

A controversial call or two does not completely invalidate a fantastic championship run.

Oh and tits.
Sevillista you support Sevilla right, then if you win a CL like the way you thought is a bad advert to football scoring only lucky goals through out the whole tournament would you not celebrate ??? What do you prefer to see??? Pedro directly running at a standing player with loads of pace to earn a foul and booking for the opposition . Busquets' reaction for touching an opposition players ass as if he was shot by a sniper. And players surrounding and forcing the referee to act on situations. Dani Alves complaining Ronaldo is not humble enough to be the best player in the world and rolling all over the pitch for minimum of contacts.

If u find Pepe's challenge so dangerous then u should watch PL leagues game on a regular basis. I can challenge you will be literally petrified if u think that was so dangerous. The ball was in a perfect position to be won and he went for it which is what he was supposed to.

Yes Mourinho has got a point. Its becoming more than a coincidence and happening on a regular basis. UEFA overrule refereeing decisions to let Iniesta play in the next CL match. Pep Guardiola uses Mourinho's tactic of earning a yellow card to be free of suspension to face Real Madrid no fine no nothing. People even don't notice. Decisions that go against their opposition are just not normal. Van Persie second yellow card was meaningless. I saw Villa kicking the ball in a game against Almeria(not sure) out of frustration no one notices??? great.
What do you expect a coach to do??? crucify his player for something immoral or foul play??? thats nonsense. If you come out to defend this saying Pep never complains and stuff then why did he start it in the first place about Jose being happy having a Portuguese referee??? Then Jose replies and then he again replies in a disgusting way again defends himself by saying Jose used PEP in his comment thats why he replied. What a joke.

Listen Im not gonna claim one is more of a good man or one is a better team and all that. The thing is why does a team like Barcelona full of excellence needs to playact in situations and then run their mouth we are the better team we played the best football and all that??? Its not like they need to do it. If you don't consider that foul play then you must have something against Real Madrid.

i'm sure your sadness has nothing to do with being portuguese like Mourinho, Ronaldo and Pepe :) . Tiki taka is the reason americans don't like football ? They must watch only Barca because they're the only one capable of playing that thing. Tiki taka means stunning the opponent with short unpredictable passes and then accelerate with open run passes and technical executions, Barca brought this to perfection, they had at least 65 percent possesion in every game for the past 3 years indiferent of the adversary. How ******* unbelieveble is for Barcelona to have 70 % possesion in a game with Real, do you realize how amazing this team is ?

I just can't imagine Real Madrid fans being too happy, even if they came out with the 0-0. I for one know that I would be very disappointed if I ever saw Barca play like that. Especially as Real do have great attacking players in their team - enough to fill the bench. And Barcelona's defense was far from its best (which some still think isn't that good). Do you have no belief in being able to score against us? Instead you put everybody behind the ball, not even press unless the ball is a bit loose or the player turns their back? Foul everyone in sight?

And then when you get penalized for your foulplay, you pretty much accuse Barcelona of bribing the UEFA and say you would be ashamed to win like this? But you would be proud to "win 3 points" by kicking the players and wrestling?

Still on the sent off.

I don't know if Pepe tried to get to the ball, or if he could've avoided that high foot, what i know is that if, for instance, Dani Alves had his leg on the ground, he would be in a really big trouble by now

And considering Pepe's history, well...
