Contents:
- All players have had their stats converted to Football Manager 2005 stats with the help of Yannick's great EDitPES4OptionFile tool.
- Updated transfers/loans (long term) to February 5th.
- Updated squads (i.e. increased the depth of many squads to include players who have played this season at least for part of some games).
- Created over 400 new players to increase the squad depths and be able to perform many of the transfers from clubs outside of the game.
- I have removed every false player from the game except for the default ML squad. There are no more fake youth players . All players in the "bonus" section in the PES Shop have been unlocked because the players that are still playing for clubs in the game have been assigned and the remaining players have been overwritten with players currently playing.
- The classic teams are locked.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE POSTING:
Please check the option file and check it for the following:
- Incorrect squad numbers.
- Incorrect team formation.
- Incorrect team starting lineups.
- Missing transfers/loans (lasting longer than March 2005).
- Missing players (who actually have played or will play first team games for the club this year - I'm not interested in players who I've missed where the player will probably get 5 minutes action all year).
Please note that the previous threads asking for help in updating the previous BETAs have run into the following problems:
1 - Directing me to websites that are not in English and nearly impossible to navigate or out of date.
2 - People posting rumors of transfers/loans which have then not happened. For this reason I have used http://www.footballtransfers.co.uk for my transfer information. This website is by no means all-inclusive and if I have missed any GENUINE CONFIRMED transfers loans that have actually happened, please post these on the thread.
3 - People posting their own personal opinions on what they think should be a team formation and starting lineup rather than the REAL formation and starting lineup that occurs in real life. To date I have been given 8 different versions of the Barcelona starting lineup - obviously not all of them are correct. Please post FACTS, not preferences or opinions.
4 - Formations/line-ups posted in a format I can't understand. It's simple, looking at the team lineup in the edit mode in the game, just give me the formation you have chosen (i.e. 4-4-2A) and list the players as they appear down the screen in order, example:
Player 1
Player 2
Player 3
etc...
Any formation/lineup changes not given in this format won't be implemented.
5 - Changes not posted in any kind of language I can understand. Posting something like "you not be the color in the team right for it and be wrong" won't result in any changes made.
Please take the time to check and validate your information before you post it on the thread.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
(Please do no ask any of the questions below in this thread because it makes you look like a dumbass who can't read!)
1 - Will this option file work online or with the Masters League? (i.e. have the transfers and stats work)
ANSWER: No, it won't. The final gold release will and will contain a step by step guide with everything you need.
2 - Are you going to release two versions, one with the FM2005 stats and one with the default Konami stats?
ANSWER: No. With over 400 players created I had to use valid stats and those were from FM2005. If you had a database made of some default Konami stats (which are artificially boosted for 60%+ of the players) and some FM2005 stats, the game would be unbalanced. Also, as mentioned, the Konami stats are very inaccurate overall.
3 - What if I think my favorite player should be better, will you change it for me?
ANSWER: No. There is no way I'm making a change based on one persons preference compared to the experts that created the FM2005 database to affect the 50,000+ downloads the option file will get.
4 - Why does this player only have a shooting power of 55? He can shoot way harder than that in real life.
ANSWER: The scale used in the game is not 0 = no shot power and 99 = light speed. 55 is still a hard shot as you will find if you let the power bar max out and let a shot rip. The difference between a 50 power shot and 99 power shot is probably the difference between a 70mph shot and a 80mph shot. The chances are that you wouldn't even notice. Just like with passing strength. There is no way if you hold the pass button down that you can tell the difference between a player who has 70 for passing speed and 95 for passing speed. The scale is so small in terms of changes in these kind of attributes that if you didn't make an effort to look up the numbers you wouldn't even notice.
5 - Will you be making versions for the PS2 and X-Box versions of PES4 and for all the different versions of WE8:I
ANSWER: Yes. I will be getting help from people who have those systems to convert this file to the formats required for you to use it on your X-Box or PS2. The same will hapeen for the WE8:I versions.
6 - My favorite players has slightly longer hair than you've given him, why would you do this?
ANSWER: Correct boot allocation is ongoing as is updating the faces/hairstyles etc. These are not things that will affect leagues, cups etc. once you've started them so the important thing was to get the core important data checked and updated first. If you have changes you want made to appearances then post them here and I'll do them.
7 - When will the GOLD final release happen?
ANSWER: You have until Wednesday night to post all the changes required. After this time I won't have time to make any more changes as I want to release the final version on Thursday/Friday which also allows enough time for the rest of the loans/transfers pending to either fall through or happen.
