Things you can edit in Player Career Mode

These are the things I have learned can be edited in player career mode of FIFA 14. Dunno if this is common knowledge but since I haven't seen a thread discussing this I thought maybe I could give it a go. I've made this thread on the off chance this information can enhance other people's enjoyment of the game.

For this you will need:

-unlocked edit player in career mode
-cheat engine
-revolution mod installed

Here are the things you can edit

-PLAYER APPEARANCE (SUCH AS FACE,HEAD,HAIR,KIT TIGHTNESS, SLEEVE LENGTH,ACCESSORIES)
-AGE
-POSITIONS
-NATIONALITY
-KIT NUMBER
-HEIGHT
-WEIGHT
-BODY TYPE
-ON FIELD CAPTAIN
-PLAYER STATS

virtual pro id is 30999 so to change his appearance rename files with the id 30999 and paste into corresponding sceneassets folders

For kit and accessories you have to make a file in fifarna>lua>assignments>players. Name the file player_30999. Input desired changes based on statements found in revolution mod manual.

so in player_30999.lua make the change you wish to make

for example you wish to change the default accessory available to virtual pro which is the wristband (8) into bracelet (26) make the change in the lua file.

-CHANGE AGE

you can change virtual pro age and age of teammates

To change age you need to ascertain two different year of birth of players. Any player will do for this step so long as they have different year of birth. I will use the players on my team, in this case, Ziyech and Tomori.

select the player in edit player tab and input year of birth in cheat engine

repeat again for next player and you among the resulting addresses in cheat engine select the address that ends with a C, select and change to desired value

changing teammates age will affect their valuation and their ability to get called up to their national teams. As far as I've seen, in player career mode, players over 34 will not get called up to their national teams.

in player career mode and career mode in general, with the wild transfers that happen, it can get frustrating to see top players with very high kit numbers or when playing in international games players with high kit numbers when they should be limited to 1-23.

process is the same with changing age of teammate except what you input is the kit number

-POSITIONS

this is something that is not merely a cosmetic change but one which affects gameplay. In player career mode you cannot make changes to the line up through any other means. But with this you are able to manipulate the lineup.

Here is a list of positions in FIFA:

NOTE: The address you should select in cheat engine must end in 928

Process is the same as before, use the above link to discern the ID number which relates to the position of player.

To affect the lineup, you can change a players position to effectively make sure he is "turned off" for selection. There are two ways to do this

1. Make the players position into Substitute (28) or Reserve (29). Through my testing of this it does work,
as seen in the example below, changing tomori's position to SUB (28) means he is not selected in the line up

however if a player has another secondary position he is still not considered "turned off". In the example below I have changed Reece James position to Sub but since he has the secondary position of CDM he is still selected in the line up.

2. Make the player's position into Goalkeeper (0). So far using this method, the player is considered "turned off" and will not be available for selection.

changing positions also affects transfers. In player career mode, you have normally no agency on transfers out of your squad as well as transfers happening for other teams but thru this method you are now able to change that.

So far through my testing, so long as a player does not have the tag: Approached by X ,changing his position to GK will make it so that no team will bid on him.

changing positions also affect national team squad selection, normally you have no way to affect who is called up to the national team. With this method, changing an outfield player's position to GK or a GK's position to that of an outfielder will make his rating so low that he will not be considered for national team call ups.

Pretty straightforward, you can change a player's nationality to make him eligible for call ups to the nation you changed him to. same process as before you just click on a player in edit mode, input the id number of their nation and do the same for another player of another nation to find the address in cheat engine.
