Oh God - They dropped the ball! First they pissed on Thunderbirds (seriously how could anyone have screwed up that film franchise so badly) And now the staple of my childhood years is next - Transformers. All they have to do is retell the 1980's pilot cartoon in Live action and it will be awesome. Who wouldn't drool at an F-15 fighter jet landing and transforming into a 60 ft high robot with arm mounted lazer cannons? And Optimus Prime was red and blue.

Meh, im gonna watch this coz i used to just luuuv transformers like... 15 years ago !!
I dont even remember what it was about, just robots that transformed into cars. Not that i need to remember anything else!!

Watched it and i have mixed feelings about it. On one hand its really nostalgic watching the autobots and decepticons calling alive in live action, i'm sure practically everyone knows this but other than Optimus Prime the rest of the Transformers don't look anyway close to what they were in the cartoon which i felt was disappointing.
Its entertaining though typical Michael Bay flick lots of action with a love story thrown in between. The action scenes were good but there isn't much character development for the Transformers themselves. I think it at least deserves a watch, and Megan Fox looks sizzling in it.

"Transformers" was one of the best comedies of the year. I laughed through out the movie and found it amazingly amusing. I don't think it will beat the genius of the "Evan Almighty", but "transformers" for sure will be marked as the pearl of American comedy and its cinema in general. I would advise this film for all who seek a good laugh, but be careful to not loose all your brain cells along the way. The brain cell losing is a sure side-effect of the "Transformers" but it sure does not outweigh all its genius and originality.
P.S. Also, American teenagers saving the world does not hurt the credibility of this movie at all, especially when one of them is Megan Fox, who smoking HOT!!!:Bow:

How can anyone even think otherwise? There was so much comedy, which complimented the craziest action ever and the none of the jokes were actually cheesy. The funniest moment of the year out of all the movies, was when the black cousin was trying to escape the FBI into the backyard and totally tanked the **** out of the window-door. I was crying at how funny and unexpected that was and then the guy gets donkeyed right into the ******* pool! Amazing!
And don't get me started about the action. The first fighting scene pretty much showed how much the whole movie will promise in this category.
Anybody that doesn't like this movie is just too overcritical and will never be satisfied no matter how good the movie is.
PS. Anybody happened to catch the name of the movie shown in the trailer after "I am Legend"? Its about some guy Rob i believe having a "go away" party and then suddenly a big earthquake happens with weird noise and then you see everybody rushing to the streets and fireballs are flying every where with the noise coming again. If anybody catched that i would really like to know.

AWESOME MOVIE!!! that is all I have to say. By far the best movie I have seen in the past two years. If you are looking for cinematical prowess (like Oscar winning)......then no, but if you are looking for pure unaltered, fun, laugh and entretainment, then you got the best money can put together.
wanted to walk out of this **** like halfway through. ****ty jokes, the plot was like all over the place (especially when the Sector7 cops got involved, that was just crap).. action and imagery was obviously good but that can only hold me off for so long. if I could give this a negative rating I would

This movie was so bad it wasn't even funny. The plot was missing in action. The choisse of actors was also retarded. They made it look like a comedy. Graphix wise could've been much better. The best part was the Decepticons, at least they looked real not like the friggid autobots. Even Theo can make a beeter graphix work than that.

You obviously are not into graphics at all, considering transformers has the best Digital work in any movie, ever.
Yeah you can't be seriously complaining about the graphics. The action and the fighting scenes are some of the best i have ever seen. They could have improved it a little bit more by showing more overhead shots, instead of point of view shots, but its still better than anything out there including LOTR and Star Wars.
BTW, Transformers set the new opening records with 250 million in 6 days. They already covered all of their expenses and made a profit of 100 million dollars with many more to come.
