[Tutorial] Start Career Mode In 2014

I've noticed that after I made my career mode starts in 2014 I don't have Europa league in first season anymore! When I enable European competition in first season I can see Europa league draw, but when I start career I only get Champions league! Any idea why this is happening?

Ok, I've just sim the rest of the season and when I entered 2015/16 season there is European Supercup match Real Madrid (who won CL in my 14/15 season so that is ok) vs Chelsea who is winner of 12/13 so I suppose the game just took the team who is winner in database because I didn't change it to Sevilla.

And that is correct. I just sim another season and Chelsea is again in Supercup as Euro League winner.

Now I'm sure my Euro League had dissappeared, because I simed 2015/16 in which my team played Champions Cup, i finished 3rd in the group, but I didn't go to Europa League as I should.

Please can somebody help me? @SlimOntario2033 do you maybe know what is going on?

I use my own mod, and it works fine for me. :/

I turned off European competition in first season and in the second season there was Euro League, so the problem apparently has to do something with the first season, and i wonder could it be some schedule problem? Or if anyone know what else might be causing the issue? Thanks

Also, non of the Asian Championships is working, Australia, Korea, Saudi Arabia... Game crash when you start a career with team from these leagues.
Is it possible that no one is checking this thread...

we cant give you any hints, because we dont know what you have changed..this is happening if you dont know what you do on the compdatas... do everytime saves and change the compdatas after that..

So, the mistake occured when I relegated Betis to Liga Adelante, and it went out of Europa League and Group L had only 3 teams. When I get Betis back to Liga BBVA everything is ok, but I don't want to do that because I want realistic game. So, only thing that I have to do is to change seeded teams, but I don't know how to do that. Help? Do you maybe know Slim?

SlimOntario2033 thanks a lot for this info, works great for me no problems! Say I want to update the fixtures of the BPL to the real ones of the 2014-2015 season, do I edit the dates in the c13_s1_2013.txt file or how? Or do you already have an updated file you can maybe share? I'm using the default game with my own updated roster with some graphics mods. Thanks!

@ RALE; I also do my own edits in CM, check to make sure that the teams are in the correct position in the "Ranking Table" of each competition...


And also that their position in "Last Year Performance" is correct.


As the teams finished the 2013-2014 season.

@ Munross thanks for replying. I did both, "Last Year Performance" earlier and "Ranking Table" now because I didn't know about that before, but it still not working. I even regenerated (although that is not necessery) but nothing. Seeded teams are the same. There has to be another step that I'm missing. Is this method you showed me working for you, do you get different seeded teams in the game than the default ones?

I did this to all european leagues and I even changed cup winners and runners-up.

As you know everyone is going modders updating the db's with this transfer window and still the ModdingWay launch its latest patch!
However, I had been testing some db's and always started my career in 2013 and after four hours looking for a compatible ModdingWay not found solution.
So I decided to do it my way, as everyone knows ModdingWay is installed via injection files.
Thinking about it I got the Mod:

Edited ModdingWayInstaller for the injection of these files, as well as work and come here to share with you!
Everything is already set up, just put the files in the root folder of your game and start ModdingWayInstaller.

Hey mate, I want to use just playerretirement.ini and my question is can I use it alone, just that one file without the others. Will career mode work? I don't have any modds or Moddingway patch or whatsoever, so will it work or it is only for Moddingway patch?

Hi everyone, I want to start the season in 2016, but I don't know how to do.

To start the season in 2015 I set :
1 step (with creation master) : fifa year start =2014
2 step (with creation master) : world cup first year=2014
3 step (with cmsetting file): calstart year =2015

And all works...

But when I changed the third step "calstart year =2016" (to play the season 2016/17) the game crashed before starting the career mode...Any solutions?

You have to open settings file in notepad and change the individual tournaments a year in which to begin the game. The numbers refer to the CM, but do not set the program that because only supports up to 2018. You need to do everything by hand.

hello all i have a question i would like it to let my carreer start in 2004, but i dont know how to make that works, because i change all the years and when i start simulating in carreer mode he stands at 1 july 2004 and it takes a waaaay long time and dont move to 2 july 2004.
