Ned, his wife and Rob are the only other 'main' characters that have died. I mean, I guess Cersei's kid, too, but this has always been more about the Starks than anything else and pretty much all of them are still there. I get not killing them, but the story has just become very predictable now that they went out of their way to make all the villains into sympathetic characters. Especially since there isn't anyone left to root against. Perhaps this is a bid to simplify everything to allow the White Walkers to become a dominant element but I'm less interested in the plot now because most of the politics and ambiguous characters have been pushed aside. We have hardly seen anything of Littlefinger this season. Varys, Tyrion and Jaime have become bland and they even took out Bolton. Am I the only one who finds the emphasis on religions of Westeros over politics of Westeros to be boring?
