Well, then, his free role instructions must have included to stick on the left side the whole half helping Heinze defend and make those long cross field crosses to the right side, because not once did i see him play on the same level as Saha or anywhere on the right at all. It was a clear 4-5-1 tactic, that Fergie has been using in Champions League ever since Benfica game.TOON ARMY said:

for god sakes is there any1 here who didn't know which side he would shoot the ball to? its always the left for him, i would have liked ronaldo to take it. i think all we manutd fans had that sinking feeling when nakamura took the free-kick and when saha took that penalty. **** i think the boys will turn the tables around against benfica this time.

I hope that this referee never referees another game at such a level. That goal was nowhere near being a foul and the penalty was very debatable.
Actually apart from Celtic's freekick, he was spot on everything else i thought. The penalty was a little soft, but it was still no doubt a penalty. The guy jumped out to block the ball with both of his hands sticking far out from his face. Definite penalty, plus the ref probably realized that Celtic should have never taken that freekick too.thetrooper37 said:
