their UEFA Champions League last 16, first leg tie on Wednesday evening.
Thomas Schaaf's side will want to erase the memories of last season when
French champions Lyon destroyed Werder at the same stage of this competition with a 10-2 aggregate result.
The Northern German side like to play attacking football and they are sure to be
boosted by the return to fitness of top marksman Miroslav Klose.
The Bundesliga's leading scorer has recovered from a dislocated shoulder
problem and could partner fellow hit-man Ivan Klasnic, who scored Werder's winner in Saturday's 1-0 triumph at Borussia Dortmund.
Juve boss Fabio Capello, meanwhile, will be able to call on French hit-man David Trezeguet to partner Zlatan
Ibrahimovic in attack.
The former Monaco striker missed Juve's 2-2 draw with Messina at the weekend, with the Bianconeri 10 points
clear at the summit of Serie A.
The Turin club are without the defensive pair of Jonathan Zebina and Gianluca Zambrotta, with both players
sidelined with muscle injuries.
