Giuly wasn't offside when he received the pass, but Gudjohnsson was...and even though that's ok at that point since he wasn't directly involved with the initial play, he benefited as a result of being in an offside position when he scored. No goal.

Wow what ownage in the first half. It should of been 3 or 4 nil. That run by Deco and the follow up by Guddy were superb, would of been goal of the tourney, too bad he missed (:/).

Barça got the job done but nothing more, they weren't particularly good. Too bad Bremen couldn't hold their nerves.

Why the hell didn't Werder play the whole match like they did in the second half? That first half was terrible from their side and that second goal shouldn't have counted.
Anyway, Werder were unlucky to be in such a tough group, they deserve to advance to the knockout stage, not the UEFA cup.

I loved the first half, Barça were unstoppable, and I don't know what happened in the second because Bremen had the ball most of the time.

We're through. It's a shame because Werder Bremen would be in the next round in any other group.

comebacks happen all the time, maybe not on such a grand stage but they happen. what i was trying to say was it's not over 'till the fat lady sings.

courageous performance by Bremen in the second but they just didn't have it tonight, Barca was better in all categories except keeper (what was Valdes doing on that cross ?)

Bremen will be very good in the UEFA Cup if they take it seriously, and for Germany's coefficient points sake they better take it seriously.

Congrats to Barca, they came to play and win. Bremen seem shaky and nervous in the beggining and thats what killed them. It will interesting to see what team draws Barca now..
