Maybe you lot should give those old tricks a try. They might actually get you past the quarterfinals ;)

Are you insane. I saw the game 6+ hours ago now, and I still recall Lehmann winning the ball, and then extending his arm upwards into Beckham's feet, which were by then nearly past him. If you dont think Jens Lehmann knows every little trick in the book, I advise you to take a gander

he may be a bastard, but hes still a funny one

obviously you have amnesia. go look at the video again, lehmann does not extend his arms at all.

They had what were two decent shouts for a penalty turned down. I hardly think that comes anywhere near to an offside call. Then again, its Madrid's fault for being too heartless to even make a big deal of either non call. Credit to Cicinho, though. He got knocked down by Reyes, but rather than writhe on the floor like a bitch looking for the whistle, he got back up, looked back at the ref, and continued on. That kind of attitude is definately needed on a wider scale in the game today

funny how you chelski fans seem to have selected events. cicinho is a little bit.ch because, yes, he DID roll around uncontrollably when flamini took the ball away from him and didnt touch him.

edit: ^didnt see your comment of not looking at it... take a look at it thne ;)

im not going to defend what reyes did (coming back on the pitch), but apart from that everything else was legit (as far as i remember)

It wasn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be. We can't lose a game without it being called a crisis.

Stats Real Madrid-Arsenal (From Soccernet.com)
Shots (on Goal) 21( 6)-10( 6)
Time of Possession 65%-35%
Saves 5-6
hey buddy, heres an interesting fact.
Real Madrid 0-1 Arsenal

and finally: there is absolutely no way this tie is over. who knows what can happen. i just hope that arsenal do not think its over.

Now that I am calm....

What a poor perfomance. Truly one of our worst this year.

Zidane & Beckham had two of their worst matches since I can remember. Ronaldo did Carlos-sh*t too. Gravesen proved why we must get a new DM also. Woody's early leave really cost us. Mejía, who I thought was really improving, played like old times.

With that said, the best keeper on the planet kept us in this tie, and only 1 away goal down. I know it probably sounds cocky, but I am confident we can turn this tie around and move on. In my opinion Real Madrid's biggest problem is motivation(i.e. v.s. Real Zaragoza). If we come out 'guns blazing', I think we will go through.

Oh yeah, Forgot to say, although Henry played well, I think Jens Lehmann was the M.O.M. He commanded his box so well yesterday.

It doesnt take all that much strength when the 300 pounder is thinking more about McDonalds new spicy chicken sandwich than he is about making a tackle.

BTW what Shev guy says its pretty right, if we were facing a better team last night we would have lost by a lot more. You guys were not amazing by any means but you got the job done, which is what Wenger wanted you to do.

If you were playing a inform team that didnt have 9 injuried players then you would beaten by alot more, also if Henry could head the ball but thats another story

The Second Leg should be good, we are going to need to score at home

Yep. Both keepers were immense. Lehmann's probably been our most consistent and reliable player this year. No-one gives him credit for that though, they just wait till he ****s up and then say **** about him.

Yeh Jens has been the best keeper in the EPL this season. One of beckhams chances was almost impossible for him to score he had turned and jens was already right by his feet

Jens= our player of the year.

if it wasn't for him we could have lost 5-0 to liverpool(at least) and maybe madrid could have put in one or two in. I'm confident that if they would have scored we 2 would have scored though :)

We have a team for Europe.

good work by wenger (Y)

and if it wasn't for Casillas, Madrid could have received many more goals. Casillas showing is huge quality over and over again.

I have to say that the score really surprised me. I didn't expect arsenal to be a big problem for Madrid ...

no doubt casillas played well but he ended up on the losing side which means that his efforts went in vain for this match.
Also i was just talking on jens recent perfomances. I never denied casillas played well.
