If it trues, just shows how great Porto played this season. Still I think that Maniche played better than Deco overall...
The striker should be Morientes, he carryed Monaco almost by himslef to the Champions League Final...
Don't tell me about Rooney being Europe's best striker , He just scored 4 goals at the EURO, he did a very discret season at Everton...
Now, who do you think will be this season's FIFAs player of the year? I can't remember (so far, because there's still half a year of competion to come) of any player, worldwide, that has had a great performance... Maybe Deco because he's the most mediatic player of FCPorto, and he was an important piece in Portugal's achievement in the EURO 2004 ?

I named one Italian based player, and 2 ENGLISH BASED PLAYERS! So your claim is absurd. Anyhow, the nation of a which a player is based means nothing as far as their nationality is concerned; Deco being an exception.
