If I understand correctly, the coming patch will let us play our UPL teams in the ECL and EL? Just curious, could you post a documentation on how you did this? I guess it boils down to editing databases in DBM12, doesn't it?

I'm now just about to upgrade to 2013 (and the UPL patch is one major reason for this), and of course I am eager to get going...

@herbert No, you can edit turnaments (and other things like ECL, EL or league structure) by editing files, which are in FIFA 13\Game\dlc\dlc_FootballCompEng\dlc\FootballCompEng\data\compdata location. Thank you, I checked out that thread and tried out what I found there (i.e. edit tasks.txt), but it does not have any effect. Do I have to regenerate after it?

I found that some players are even in the commentary which is pretty cool. Just out of interest, is there any known way I can assign commentary to players, or were you just lucky because those players were already somewhere in the game? Just wondering, as for instance Lucas of Karpaty is mentioned by the commentator, and I cannot really believe that he was already in the game, or was he?

About 25% of the patch players have their original game IDs. If a player was in the FIFA database all of his commentary is recognised by the game. Thats is one of the cases. About the Lucas case: If you have players with decent, popular names then most likely the game will recognize them. Chack out also Torres in Metalist.

Ah, that's cool, so you basically have to make sure that the name is not misspelled if you create players with surnames similar to those which the commentator knows? That sounds like a real improvement to the game, I really never understood why they did not start doing this right from the start

Well, it's kind of too late for this season.
But, if you guys are still reading, is there going to be a 2013/2014-version of the patch for Fifa 2013?

Since after 2014 comes out we don't know how long it will take to have the necessary editing tools out to do this kind of thing, thus an updated patch with the latest rosters for the new season would be greatly appreciated!
