ULTIMA 2003 - Errors

This isnt a flame, more like help for the makers of ULTIMA 2003.

If you found an error wrong with ULTIMA 2003 post here so the makers can fix it for the next version, dont flame the makers, they have tried very hard and no one could make 41 teams without any errors.

I tried to do some tweaking in FCDBXP2 but I can't see the faces!!!!! What should I do? I wanted to add new players and take out some (for Inter Milan, players missing, plus there are players that dont play for Inter anyways like Cristiano Doni, Georgatos, Bachini...

did you try to copy the head.big and faces.bif files into c:/.../Fifa2002/data/player ?

if u dun see them it is because thay are using generic hairs rather than specific hairs...
And one more thing, to change the crowd, mascot, trails colours, use fcdb xp, go to team properties, kits, then common and adjust the colours...

EDIT: Adjusting the colours also prevents kit clashing...

To know which number is for which colour, open jnum.big and find out...

and the best is to have a BRAND NEW data folder(fresh from the cd) in the game as you might have adboards and sideline graphics from fifafx site which doesn't work well with ultima..

I'm not responsible if the game crashes, after someone edits
whats been installed through the patch.

the patch "as-is" work perfectlly.

I'll repeat what's written in the download page,
and tho' those are trivial stuff, I thought it will be better to write them anyway:

when reading some of the problems here,
I think you missed a step through the installing proccess,
please check if you missed one of the following steps:

* UNINSTALLING the game completlly (including delete all remaining folders)
and re-installing it, befor installing the patch.

*when running the patch installing program,
don't forget to specify your MAIN WC2002 folder.

*when installing the patch, you get to a screen where
"launch ULTIMA2003" box is marked.
DO NOT un-mark it, leave it MARKED, and press "next"
then the installation program should run a black window (of the bat file)
that proccess should take a couple of minutes.

if you missed one of those steps, you'll have problems,
so please check again you did those above.

SB9Dragon, what file are you opening with FCDB FX?
you should only open the FCDB_eng and not any other file.
this runs with the English version.

this all problems some people say they have,
it's very weird cause we tested the patch over and over 100's of times
and all runs smoothly.

and 90% of who D/L it so far, don't have any problems running it,
so if someone have troubles with, please check if you missed
a step in the way of installation.

I downloaded the patch and had no problem with the setup but when I wanted to play Ultima the WC 2002 game was just normal

Whats wrong:(

only errors ive found are

Jeffers from Arsenal should be a Forward not a LCB

Also the kit colours are wrong, so the forward run colour and you get kit clashes too

to fix this do wot yim87 said.


also a few teams dont have any players when i go to play with them :(

apart from that its great?

will they be a patch out to fix the errors?

when I try 2 unzip it, it says

I didn't patch my wc 2002 at all before this patch. I'll reinstall a fresh game again.. grrr :)

edit: found uninstall bug. I click uninstall from start menu and it says uninstall is done. i go add/remove in control panel and the patch is still there so tried to remove and i got something like "u don't have permision to to do that, contact your admin".
I AM the admin.

Problems

Congradulations for Ultima but I have some problems . I follow the steps tou write to set up and when the game starts I can see the ULTIMA picture BUT the teams are the some as in WC (England, Brazil, etc) and the players Foul of SEAMAN and same from WC . I have the reek version of WC2002. Please I need help

yeah, seaman is everywhere, in river (aka paraguay) as a striker, in other teams there are five or six seaman. it seems that we have the same problem. spanish version of the game here...

When i left the user folder to itself, inter milan only has 8 players and man u only has 7 players!!! And the whole read madrid squad is forfeited!! ( Well, i don't mind that) Ronaldinho is in real madrid.. so when i renamed the user folder everything's fine... I think it needs to be renamed when one saves the rosters ingame...

is installed on my PC right now.

no renaming have been done, no changes at all have been done.

if you do as it's written in the download page:
uninstall the game completly (including deleting all folders !!)
and only after putting a fresh copy of the game,
install the ULTIMA, there will be no problems at all. 1000% sure.

the patch was tested for almost a week,
it was tested from every aspect, even inc. red/yellow crads,
subtitutions etc., and it worke in a perfect way.

if it works for you by your way, that's good,
but for everybody else, there are simple instructions there,
just follow them. couldn't be easier then this.

yah i know i could do that by deleting the whole world cup folder but i want to keep my old data folder as i have to start everything from square one when i want to play the world cup again.. That's the reason i can't delete my data folder.. And my user folder contains settings and save games that i do not want to reset.. Hope you get me...:)
