ULTIMA 2003 - Errors

Hi,

I reinstalled the patch and now I see Solskjaer's face. But now some of the player's hair seems wrong. Beckham's now looks semi-transparent even in a close up. I'm using action camera angle and a lot of the players hair will sort of change while playing. Solskjaer looks half bald from a distance but looks excellent close up. Maybe I'll try different camera angles.

The only other thing I noticed was about 3 or 4 of my players, while playing as Man U, are wearing long sleeves while the rest of the team wears short sleeves. This was on their red kit. Didn't notice on their other kits yet. I was playing against Juventas and I believe the same was happening to their players. Is this just a personal player option or a bug? Doesn't really bother me, just something I noticed.

None of the "problems" I've run into are a big deal and don't stop me from playing. Especially with the group manager! This patch is awesome and well worth the wait. The graphics are great and I love the huge flags in the stands! Well, except for the Del Piero flag. I tried to kick one of those flaming balls at it with hopes of destroying it, but no luck! Can you please tell me how did you address the problem with the kit clashing thing? (how did you go into kit.big and switch anything in there?) I'm having the same problem and I know this is because the patch replaces the WC teams with club teams. If I'm not mistaken, Man Utd is replacing England team which uses white home kit. That's probably why everytime I play Man Utd at home, they will use the white-"away" kit and I can only get ManU red kit when I play them away against a team with white home kit (e.g. Leeds).

Please, please help me on this.. thanx!!

Hi,

I used the EA Graphics Editor. I located the Man U kits in kit.big in WC2002/data/player file:

ja01318 - Away Red kit
jh01318 - Home White kit

ja00011b - Centenial kit


Using the EA editor, I extracted both home and away kits to a folder I named EAgraphedits. Name it anything you want. I then just switched the names of both of the kit files. Then I imported them back into file kit.big using the EA editor again.

Please note that this doesn't necessarily solve the whole problem. I did this switch when I played against Real Madrid because they were wearing white just as Man U was wearing white but then the very next game I played against another team and both teams were wearing red! So basically you may end up having to do this procedure before any game that plays two teams with similar colors. I didn't try using the centennial kit but maybe that will be the easiest solution unless of course the opposition is also wearing gold.

I remember in past games there was a kit clashing option that could be checked off to prevent this from happening. I'm sure the talented guys who made this patch are aware and are looking into this. If anyone has the talent to fix this, it should be them!

the kit clashing problem had been solve long ago...
use fcdb xp 2, go to team properties, kits, common, and then change the colours...
To know which number is for which colour, open jnum.big from your cd..

ManUtd club logo was old one on the big flag, the new one was no "football club" on the logo........please make the change......

Audio problem

Is there antone who knows how I can hear the platers names because in my Greek version of WC2002 after I install ULTIMA I cant hear them . Or does somebody knows with what programm I can open the data/audio/spc/players.str file so I could see the players one by one and import their names in the game with FCDB XP .

I've discovered a cinematic error...
In the semi-final, and only the semi-final, the music introduction is the world cup intro, not the champions league anthem, could anyone fixes it?

Thanx Rayzor! Although there are still problems (when both team wearing red), at least i got to play Man Utd in red jersey at home. I can live with it, as the highly awaited Fifa2003 is on its way..
