There isn't any other road to the WC than to keep winning (not only home but away)because now that all four teams are separated by 2 & 3 points, obtaining ties doesn't give you any guarantee that one point will pace you on any of the three qualifying spots.
Now speaking of the match, the favorable result not only fives us a joy and a hope that we might not have to play CONMEBOL's fifth wild card although Honduras' win keep us still in that fourth spot. I think Aguirre's spirit was displayed by the players on the field when they where forced to overcome the negative circumstances with Davis' goal. The players showed character and the will to keep their composure influenced largely by the devout fan support throughout the match.
The crucial goal by Castro shortly after being down in the scoreboard set a mood for the players that gave confidence to keep fighting and going forward. Castro, the man of the match from my perspective, was to be found in the midfield everywhere; he was the balance necessary to keep the ball circulating to keep ball controll and keep the US in their half for most of the match. Honorable mention to Davis who almost single handedly kept the Mexican defence alert for the times when he was able to beak away with his sprints and almost scored the US's second goal in the two opportunities they had.
Both Castillo and Franco shouldn't be called up. Castillo is an absolute moron who distracts the team and never passes the ball while Franco is simply not going through a good time, Sabah should be the starter.
And so to put a conclusion I'd like to kindly remind all you gueros with a statement from Doctor Wagner (mexican wrestler) after one of his victories...
