Unlimited Seasons ?

Hi,

i am looking for a way to have more than 15 seasons in the manager career. thing is, 15 years are way too short if u, like me, start from the bottom (accrington stanley)

i ve found this "trick" online :
"create a new save file and delete the old one, quit the game, restart and load up the brand new file"

do u know if it's working?
otherwise are there other solutions?
i was thinking maybe there is a .ini to modify? something like UNLIMITED_SEASONS:1 but im just guessing, if not would it be possible to modify the .sav itself? if so, how?

please let me know, thanks

So try it, find out if it works for sure or not, and then share your results. You know what a save file is. You know how to delete the old file and load the new file. You know how to check career mode to see if your fix works. Do it then post your results.

And FYI, there are no ini files or any other files to edit that will extend career mode beyond 15 years. Nobody here has ever found anything like that.

Now... if I were serious about career mode, I would investigate the editing possibility of transferring my team's players from one DB to another. That way after 15 years is up, I could start a new 15 year career with a new DB containing the same players on my team that I ended my career with. You can copy/paste player data easily from one DB to another using rinaldo's editing tools. It's not the best solution obviously, but it could be one way to continue managing your team with the same group of players, once you hit 15 years in career mode.

thanks for the idea, @BANGUS,
thing is, if i ll do so i can keep my team but the other team new players will be lost :(
my hope was/is to by-pass the 15 season limit, which i find ridiculous, i like to start from the bottom, improving my team, eventually accepting other offers from other countries and so on; 15 seasons is way too short; cant believe that EA are setting this limit :(
i hope the save game trick i ve read online will work(i ll keep u posted about)

one questions about that rinaldo's editing tools, can i copy/paste all the other clubs(squads, divisions, eventual CHAMPION'S LEAGUE/EUROPA LEAGUE QUALIFICATION and so on)? like copying the WHOLE db, not just my roster?

The reason I didn't get specific is because I don't know the answer. Also, if any of it is even possible, it would require a LOT of editing work. EA changed the table format a couple years ago and made it much more complicated, and now there are 2-3 times as many tables that need to be edited and adjusted when editing players, teams, and team formations.

That's why I now stick to the easy editing tasks, like creating/transferring players and assigning them to teams. I edit the DB using rinaldo's Database Master tool and Microsoft Excel. I no longer bother with editing teams, formations, leagues and competitions, because now it's just too time-consuming.

Another issue is the player and team career tables are not in the DB, they are in your career save file. To access the player and team tables in your career save, you would have to get hold of a copy of rinaldo's Internal Master tool and see if that would work. But I've never used that tool, plus his site is now defunct and I have no idea where you would even get a copy of it.

@ANDY1802
Did you have any success with the "delete save file, create new..." method?
I´d be really interested in your result.
To be honest I do not like the 15 season limit either and I´d be great if there´s a way around this.

Best regards!
