Hi everyone,

I want to thank all of you for your feedbacks !

Here is the link to download a new version, compatible with the 2.5 version of the Classic Patch 14. The second post of the thread have been updated.
The archive also contains a prototype of an application that generates custom database tables. That allows to select leagues you want from a decade database and put them in a single database.

You can download it here.

From now on, updates of the addon will be bug fixes (no more content). I won't have much time to add new things and @valambrosio2 is working on a really promising patch !
I still can update the application if some people are interested in.

Thanks for your effort and work. When you can update the App I am very interested in. It´s my Favourite Soccer Ära between 00-10. For me it doesn´t matter if it´s called Classic in the year 2021. For me it´s classic because how old I was there and what Football means to me that Decade. And I must say the Players, the Teams are different in many terms considered than today. Anyway, great Addition to the great Classic Patch!

Oh wow so @Jbou41 being the fastest gunslinger this side of the Mississippi that he is, already releases an update
Originally I had thought that while he was working on the DB, I was slowly but surely working on the graphics, and eventually both would be released as the update (since additional kits or jersey name case needs to be edited with the DB too), but oh well.

Basically, being the detail maniac that I am, I have been improving every graphical aspect to make it more consistent with the Champions League matches of that season.
For example:

- Adboards
Assigned extended region specific adboards (e.g. UniCredit in Cyrillic for Russian teams, HypoVereinsbank for German ones, etc).

- Balls
Original addon had Finale balls. Of course it needs both group stage and Finale for the complete package; the ultimate goal would be having both domestic and UEFA balls for each season (@DeWoo might chip in here).

- Kits, jerseyfonts and kitnumbers
To follow the original CP concept, where UCL/UEL is the primary focus, I've been searching, editing and converting UEFA graphics for the teams where I can find it; the ultimate goal would be having UCL + domestic + Final (when applicable) kits for all teams.


- Tournament dressing
Every UCL season from 2005 to 2020 has been assigned an authentic dressing.

I have also been working on recreating every UCL Final's dressing for 2005-10, now movig to 2011-20:

- Stadiums
Added real stadiums to teams with generic ones. Easy solution: take the stadium with all IDs properly assigned from HBZ mod (e.g. Leicester Stadium, ID 335) and create a new stadium in CP 2010-20 DB with the ID 335; use the same files and share the stadium between the two mods.

- Boots
An attentive eye will see that most if not all players in these screenshots are wearing year appropriate boots. I am close to completing the Sputnik 2010-2020 addon.

Although I do admit that I stopped following the boots game around 2014, so I there's a lot of research happening now with my bootpack, trying to find put who wore what and when.
So if you are knowledeable about the boots between 2015 and 2020, or if you have the rx3s already, feel free to contribute.
Also would be nice to have someone who knows GK Gloves to provide some info on who wore what.

Same applies to all other areas too - we are a community here, and team effort always helps!
@valambrosio2 is doing awesome job with the extended mod too, and of course the more people working together the better.


UPD: of course, if you are a complete authenticity freak like me who has assigned 33 pairs of unique boots to CR7 already, you might also want to edit the fan banners (e.g. Chelsea, being the team I support since 2004, change Torres 9 El Nino for Diego Costa the Guv'nor, Big Pete, Drogba Legend, Super Frankie Lampard etc depending on which season we're talking about), add realistic warmup benchplayers and real managers (@Re_coded might chip in with the latter)

for me no problem for sharing and working together, what I propose is that I finish completely single years clubs 10/11 until 14/15 (only 10/11 to finish and 11/12 is starting, so close graphcis are ready and db is to export import). Then upload you this part I have change teams ids to use the teams ids for 1 years teams used in jbou mod

Of course, that's the plan!
All the graphics I've been adding are in a separate folder, so they can be uploaded instantly and installed on top of the add-on.
The only issue is that we need to edit the DB to add additional kits, change collars, jersey name lower/upper case, etc).
And one DB needs to be coordinated to keep all these changes together.
On the other hand, many of the kit changes (like collar or font color) as well as additional features like GK kit randomisation can be done outside of the DB in Team lua files, and I think this possibility could be seriously considered as it a) allows for separate DB changes and always stays intact and b) allows for additional features.

I have been updating 10/11 lately so I can send Val all I have done as well (we've been already in touch for years of course)

@Jbou41 if I have only one small request and need for now is this: I need "classic patch" style teams logos for a few teams added (you seen the white squared logo with the club logo inside it). I have seen that you mod as those logos for some teams 10-20 not present, did you made them yourself?

for now I have added original fifa logos or patches logos for those few teams, but in the menus in make a small discordance

- the file format is dds, paint.net is free and can open them.
- you can take a white square template from another logo
- team logos can be found on this site or on Wikipedia
- personally, I use paint.net to put and save the logo on the template
I can send you logos (256x256) for teams you requested today.

- Romulo from Spartak Moscow 10-15 and 15-20 should not be the same Romulo from Juventus 14-15
- Arsenal 09-12 needs to have lower case jersey names if we are recreating UCL graphics
- Bayern Munich 12-13 jersey name color needs to be adjusted to the numbers color (yellow to gold)

There others too, for example: Kaka' is on Madrid 13-14 squad, when he ended that season with AC Milan, same for Ozil that ended with Arsenal, also is missing Bruno Guimaraes for Lyon 19-20.

yes you can, at least i could with the classic patch selector, just follow the instructions, actually i recently played liverpool 18-19 vs ac milan 1989-1990 and real madrid 1980-1981 vs liverpool 2019-2020, just use the classic patch selector and follow the instructions contained in a pdf document that comes in the classic patch selector folder and your good to go, at least i could, actually i could put 1956 fifa teams all the way to 2020 in an single db with that tool. hope it helps.

Thanks Jbou honestly I can make some later but for now I have to focuse on finalizing era 10/15 first. If you have some free time, that would help if you can make some of them already

Also a couple of names to fix:
- CSKA 09-10 coach Leonid Slutsky somehow became Sloutski in 11-12;
- Spartak Moscow 10-15 coach Coach Valeri Karpine is usually latinized as Valeriy Karpin;
(it's as if they both got French citizenship but I see how that happened )

- Some changes would have to be made to kits in the DB, as mentioned before with Arsenal 10-11 for example:
Home, Away, GK, Third - lower case jersey font for UCL
4th, 6th, 7th - upper case font for EPL
An additional EPL gk kit with details would have to be assigned either with RM.

- Similarly, e.g. with Chelsea 10-11: 3 sets of UCL kits, 3 sets of EPL kits, whereas the away kit numbers are orange in UCL and white in EPL.

- For finalists like Barcelona 2010-11 or Manchester United 2010-11, I believe the kit selection should be as follows:
0 home CL
1 away CL
2 keeper CL
3 third CL
4 final CL
6 alternative shorts/socks home/away CL
7 home domestic
8 away domestic


The graphics (kit rx3s, jerseyfonts, kitnumbers) for all of them are mostly ready (I guess myself and Valambrosio have most of what's needed), it's just a question of adding all those kits as DB strings and assigning proper details.

An observation I had during the assignment of these graphics:
Teams that participated in both in UCL and UEL during that season need 3 sets of kits, and in case they were the UEL finalists they could also use an additional kit, that makes the total number of kits per team 12-13, which is cool and authentic but will crash the game.
Maybe in this regard @valambrosio2 method of using "classic" F14 kits might be the best solution, but also remains to be tested. Though with this method it can be quite cool if we could assign specific UEL adboards and ball to be activated automatically with UEL kits, the icing on the cake would be autamatic UEL stadium dressing too.

Besides, while I am working on the 2010-2020 bootpack for each season, I would like to invite everyone who knows a thing or two about GK Gloves to join and start assigning season-appropriate gloves to top goalkeepers, while simultaneously building the archive for possible future automation

Finally, with HBZ 20-21 mod released and winter transfers finalized, one might consider incorporating the top 16 UCL teams from 20-21.
Especially given how Barca got thrashed, this might have been Messi's final ever UCL game for Barca at Camp Nou, which already makes it a classic

Concernig kit ids, here is my proposition for teams that took part in both UCL and UEL :
0 home CL
1 away CL
2 keeper CL or keeper EL according to the competition in which they succeded the most
3 third CL or third EL according to the competition in which they succeded the most
4 home EL
6 away EL
7 home domestic
8 away domestic

GK kits are actually the easiest part.
Thanks to Revolution Mode we can assign specific kits to be used in combination with specific outfield kits (e.g. yellow 30 GK with 0 home, green 31 GK with 1 away, domestic 37 GK with 7 domestic home etc).
GK kit randomization is also possible: with a corresponding statement in team_X.lua every kit can be assigned a selection of random GK kits, so that yellow/green/black etc GK kit would be selected randomly each game.
Although then there is the issue of GK kit details, so that 37 yellow domestic GK uses the EPL numbers and font in correct black color unlike the default black 2 UCL GK that uses white UCL numbers, this can be done inside the same teamX.lua by the assignKitDetails for each and every kit.

A case that shows power of RM is Bayern 10-11:
They went full hardcore and had not only different placement of jerseyname (top and bottom) as usual for UCL and Bundesliga games, but also different sets of numbers and fonts hor home and away & third kits:

Luckily with RM 14 we can assign it all, with corresponding GK details as well:

Aanother kit related thing, I realized that the addon didn't have season specific referee kits so I sourced and assigned most of them, such as:

Lastly, I noticed that with this update you fixed the black fan scarves, awesome! Did you use some automation tool to do it or did you create all the files manually?
I believe some default CP seasons also have this problem such as 09-10 and maybe WC2018 so it would be great if we could fix it too.
