ok so i have a joytech ps2 controller to usb adaptor which i purchased off play.com about 18 months ago, now - can someone help me find a reason as to why this won't work on vista? i'm thinking that probably it's not compatible with vista.. since vista wasn't out then
so... can someone tell/advise on which gamepad/ps2 to usb adaptor they have which works perfecto mundo with windows vista?

thanks, help would be very much appreciated!

note it works perfectly on my 6-month-old acer laptop which could've been vista (had the view to a free upgrade) but we stuck with windows media center edition which was already on it

logitech cordless rumblepad 2 costs about £25 and works perfectly with vista (even 64 bit!) It is identical to the ps2 pad but does not have the lag of going through the adaptor.

ok - firstly - it is not "identical" to the official ps2 controller at all, that's a noobish thing to say.
secondly - £25 for ONE controller is a joke.
and finally - i want 2 so i can play a mate obv!!! so how's about i just spend 5 pounds on amazon getting a ps2 gamepad to usb adaptor that is compatable with vista and get cracking.

Well if you are just gonna be tight then get a laggy adaptor or you could just ask santa for a quality controller.

the adaptor's aren't laggy, and how am i being tight you silly fucking noob. i'm saving lots of monies here, and i can use 2 controllers at once for this small price. gamepads have shit buttons, whether they look nice or not, and cost at least £10-15 pound EACH

Mate i have 2 PS2 Joypads connected to my PC through USB Converter on Vista Ultimate and it runs perfectly.

It is not Vista's fault. I think it might be a Driver issue. Don't install the Vista Default Driver but the Driver CD that comes with the Converter.

Also go to settings and remove Keyboard as Default Controller and Put controller 1 and 2 and main controllers.

PM if u want to see my layout of Joypads and Settings

Theres no need to be such a rude cun7 you may not feel the joytech adaptor is laggy (I sold my adaptor as soon as i tried the logitech) but have you tried any other controller? Also if you are only spending pennies on a controller then yes the buttons will be cheap also! I'm only trying to help
